I have turned much of my retirement planning over to Winship Wealth and have been happy with the results. The fact that they are FEE based means they are not just steering you to the investments that provide them the biggest commission - a very big plus. They took the time to learn my long term goals and develop a plan to meet them.

I had no idea how to plot my retirement. I am 43 years old and haven't done much as a business owner. I was starting to stress about my family's financial security and if I could ever retire. Let's face it Social Security is not a definitive plan at this time, plus hardly enough to live on in California. So I started talking to friends. One friend wanted me to invest in a self-directed IRA. It seemed like a risky venture, but I was seriously considering it. Then I started reading up on Roths. I wasn't really sure what it was after I finished, but I did know that there were some tax benefits. My brother recommended annuities. I'm thinking to myself, "Life insurance before I'm dead..." Finally I found my financial advisor after doing a lot of research online and getting references. I needed to know what was what. Winship Wealth provided me with all of my options. They also provided me with education. I hate feeling like I'm blindly going into something. I feel a lot better about my portfolio now, and I wasn't put into some cookie cutter plan just so everyone could make a profit. His success is dependent on mine, and I like that. There are of course still some risks, and I don't know if I'll ever totally understand everything, but that's why I have a financial planner, right?
