I came to write a 1-star review, and found that really, it's hardly necessary. Everyone in the 1-star camp is on point:

- Poor (or no) communication
- Clear lack of interest in the "small" clients
- Unresponsive - even to inquiries that they initiated (they called me to see if I still wanted to be a client this year ... to which I said yes ... then they ghosted me anyway - ignoring both phone and e-mail attempts to confirm)

One thing that's been left out - through all the mergers and acquisitions, they've had an obviously high-rate of staff churn. In 2 years, I had 3 different people on my account (well, OK, only 2 got assigned - after the second left the firm, instead of being handed off to the 3rd ... they simply ignored me altogether - resulting in me having to figure out my own quarterly estimates last year).

Luckily, I was able to find another firm to cover me for 2023 returns - but that wasn't easy!

If you're an individual, family, or small business - keep looking. This one isn't worth the headache.

After many years of loyalty to this tax & accounting firm we recently received a letter telling us they no longer wanted to provide us with service. Apparently we are too old, not rich enough or who knows what. And thank you Wheeler tax service for telling us right before tax season so that we are now scrambling to find another firm taking on new clients. You are a despicable example of the way to do business and appreciate loyal customers.

I do not recommend. The accountant, partner, that we worked with was completely unprofessional and unresponsive. In our initial meeting we were given an approximate fee schedule, which we agreed to.However shortly after the invoices started coming in faster than we could have imagined. Once we inquired about charges and fees our emails went unanswered. After the last inquiry, I was sent a second engagement letter underlining the section that said (and I paraphrase) "trust our professional judgement." Well that professional judgement has finally led us to a second opinion. Now we are facing over 8 hours of fixing their mess! Once told of a few of their mistakes I was shocked at how basic some of them were. In addition to the rip off, we were told we were going to have monthly reports, which never happened.

I used Wheeler Accounting last year and found them to be very pleasant to work with. In addition, they pointed me to some significant deductions that I had not previously been aware of. The savings essentially paid for their services for several years to come!
