DON'T GO TO THE APPLE STORE! See Robert first! Not only did Robert fix the issue I was having but he made my Macbook run faster than ever. Most noticeably while running heavy audio/visual production software. Super fast and friendly customer service. You can drop your devices off with him directly at his shop in downtown Walnut Creek. Overall very pleased with Robert and Upgrade Repair.

Robert brought my 5 year IMac and myself out of the mothballs into the current world of having a computer that now works splendidly. My old system Mac took 1/2 hr to turn on , I could not send emails or print much less navigate well. Robert came to my house, zoomed thru the workings of my computer, located tons of junk and then suggested an upgrade to be done at his office. Thanks to him my old computer now has a new life and operating system, Catalina. It works like a champ and I am so pleased

Robert has helped on multiple occasions w/ my laptops.
In addition to giving a diagnosis to the problem, I also appreciated his individual attention and consultation in whether or not to proceed with a repair.
Other people in the past have pushed the repair versus buying new, simply because it gave them the business. Robert gives a good cost/benefit breakdown before performing the repair.
Twice I've had him make the repair. The other time it made more sense to scrap the equipment and buy the next model.
I recommend him to friends all the time. Good work, fair price, honest consultation.

My 2011 vintage mac mini was absolutely trashed from OS upgrades. Finally called Robert and he laid it out, add more ram and most important, and SSD drive. This thing now is blazing fast, stone reliable and cost far less than a new model.
FWIW, I run Vectorworks 3D design software with no problem at all. It worked fine before, now it's even better, and that's with the existing graphics card.

By far the most knowledgeable about Mac's I've ever met #macgeniusdontknowmuch. Robert is able to assess many computer problems without even opening up your Mac and his turn around time for repairs is impeccable. Highly recommend.
