You (collections agencies) can not call the police on people for past due medical bills. You are harassing people who are elderly and/or disabled. You also call people while they are at work trying to make an honest living. I hope you folks, at Trinity Hope Associates, do not consider what you are doing an honest living. Many times you don't even have the correct name or address of the people that you need to speak to, incorrect or no bill invoice numbers, incorrect amount paid or owed. You scream and curse at people over the phone. You rudely hang up on people while they are still trying to ask you questions. You try to tell people they owe a bill that the provider says has already been paid in full. We do not have debtors prison, in the US. So, you need to quit calling people & threatening them with LEO action, trying to scare people into paying bills that, many times, they do not even owe. Business owners beware! Do not use this company for collections! They are rude, unprofessional, do not understand the proper procedures, and laws, concerning debt repayment (or they do & just don't care). They act so rude that many people assume they are scammers. I know they have bought the debt from you for pennies on the $, and it's no longer owed to you, but please do not put honest elderly, disabled, or working people through having to deal with this unprofessional company.
The funniest part is that they consider themselves Christians. Jesus flipped tables because of people like you!

I'd give 0 stars if possible. Tabitha Mullis calls me asking for me but gives me the wrong name, so I am not interested in giving her my time if day. Instantly when people use my wrong name I know they are not legitimate or else they'd have the correct name. She calls me at 4:30pm on a Friday and says either I or "my attorney" needs to get in touch with her by 5 o clock...I called her back minutes later. Her number goes straight to a voicemail that says "give your name and number and she'll call you back"...I gave her my first name that she called me by and said "you already have my number because you called me first"...she did not call back. I then call her again at 4:45pm and again only gave my first name that she called me by again and told her that since she wanted to be rude and threatening to never call my number again or else I will look into harassment charges...how would any professional talk to anyone this way and how are you going to give someone a deadline of 30 minutes, at the very end of the day on a Friday. Again that screams scam...what a joke and what a scam. I had to google the phone number to figure out what this person was calling me for and trying to threaten me about because she would not give any information about why she was calling....again, do NOT call my number again. You don't even have my correct name so clearly you are not any legitimate business.

I believe the ladies name that I originally spoke with is Tonya, but when I refused to give her my card info (because I don't know her) she told me if "I really wanted to do something I have your full social security number". I just hung up. Also, she calls on a regular basis leaving a voicemail saying either I or an attorney need to contact her immediately over and urgent matter. It's been over a year now and still happening. I believe the original "debt" wad less than $50...that I will NOT pay. I never agreed to pay this person, sorry 🤭

Update 12/14/24: I have filed a complaint with BBB

I’ve been dealing with this place for months now, all because of ER visits from a year ago that happened when I had less then stellar insurance (thankfully I have better insurance now) I have answered their calls, made arrangements to pay them, and I still get calls like I did yesterday, which first off, Tabitha never identified herself as a debt collector, her colleagues do and you’d think since she owns the company she’d know better but guess not, never read the mini Miranda, the list is endless of unethical things. She called me yesterday and told me “me or my attorney need to reach out to her” mind you, I have payments set up for the 4th Friday of the month, I got a new debit card, I even gave them that information, I have been forthcoming with them and still they threatening me with court. At this point, I’m about to call them Monday and tell them I’m not paying them anymore and opening a case with the BBB because this has to be unethical. She told me when she called “we are trying your payment and it won’t go through/authorize” when payments aren’t even set to for the second of the month, which just a tip for them, it might be easier to keep track when payments are to run, if you actually sent receipts, which they did, once but I don't get them anymore and my information hasn’t changed, wonder if they stopped that because of the fact that the info on the receipt doesn’t match the name they claim to do business under. Take me to court, at this point I feel they will do it even though I’m paying them because they can’t milk me for more money, when I’ve told them already i can’t afford it.

All the other stories sound like mine. Rude, Rude and more Rude. I agreed to pay a debt that I didn’t know that I owed. Then I thought this must be fraud. After trying to explain things and figure out if it was fraud I decided it must be because a collection person would never speak like that. She doesn’t tell you the name of company, her full name, vm doesn’t give any information. Sounds fishy to me so it will be a cold day before I ever give her my credit card

This woman Tonya is the rudest person I have ever talk to! She called and left numerous messages about a bill I owe which I have never received! She goes to tell me to have my son help with with paying it and that how can I pay my other bills and not this debt! She has threatened me taking me to court and getting served! I called her back and told her go for it and I said you have the worst customer service and she said she is not customer service but a debt collection! There has got to be someone to go to and report her as she needs to be fired!!!!

RUDEST customer service. Got a call from "Tonya" then she proceeded to scream at me over the phone and then harass me at my workplace with phone calls, all because they had the wrong address. Tonya is by far the rudest customer service employee I have EVER had to deal with.

Medical debts are paid for by unc health. Tried saying I’ve received statements for the doctors that work on rotation at the hospitals that need paying under Caldwell memorial hospital, when logging into unc health my chart. The bills they are talking about are payed for and in full.
It’s to the point I’m tired of being harassed by these people I’m about to lawyer up.
