Sorry, I hate to say this but, he was clearly over burdened and seemed distracted during my appointment. He quoted me an initial charge, then increased the amount by $100 and then wanted an extra $180 to go over my return, which I had to fix myself. So, $530 for something that looked identical to a Turbotax return? A waste of time and money for us unfortunately.

Have been going to Tom about five years now. He is always helpful with questions and so I had him re-do our family trust also. I have had no problems with our taxes and would recommend him if you understand what you are doing and bring in the right materials it will be quick and easy to get the filing done. He used to handle our entire families estate, taxes, and hero with the OUR AND which occurred from the other negative reviews. My mom also filed her will with him and we had to take him to court to fight to get the will released. Add executor of the will he still refuses to talk to me or my attornies. Our my brothers. I don't know why he did that but it's a mess now. And I thought the point of making a will and trust wad to ensure that after a passing things go smoothly. So far that isn't the case. I will attemp to reach him and will update your with the progress. He must have additional documentation that we require to help move things along. Let's pay he not get help in contempt of court and see if he will do right my by family. She trusted him for 20 years. They had a falling out about the taxes but that shouldn't be a reason to hold the will hostage until we got the court to order it. It shouldn't be this hard. And he was seen as a family friend. Friends don't allow their families to go through stess and uncertainty during a time like this.

PLEASE DO NOT EVER USE THIS CPA. THEY ARE GREEDY AND TAKE TO MANY CLIENTS THAT THEY CAN'T SERVICE PROPERLY!

- They ask you to do their work.

- They are unorganized. Tell you one thing one day and something different the next.
- They find excuses to cover their mistakes.
- They dont care about their clients.
- They are rude.
- They wont answer their calls or respond to messages.

If you need a CPA for your tax, never ever use Thomas K. Porta CPA and his wife Patrice Porta

- They forget filing your tax extension! They delay filing your tax return!
- They don’t answer you phone! They don’t reply your email!
- They mess up your tax and they deny their malpractice!
- Their business is badly organized and poorly managed!
- They find all excuses to cover their mistakes!
- They don’t care about their clients!
- They have no manners!
- They are rude!

BE VERY CAREFUL!
Their office is very close to the Solano Courthouse. Even though you have all elements to proof they breach their duty, you may still lose your lawsuit for unknown reasons.

Do not go to this office. I filed a tax return with him months ago, haven't received a refund yet, and can't find any information about it when trying to look it up online. I called the office, got a call back from Thomas a couple hours later, and was told that he "forgot" to file it. I asked for a refund since he didn't do his job properly, and he said no. No attempt whatsoever to reconcile the situation....could have at least offered a partial refund, but his answer was just flat out no. This man does poor business and does not deserve yours. This is unacceptable and this company will be reported.
