We've been using Spencer Wilson for tax preparation for several years and were always impressed by their quick turnaround and prompt communication. Unfortunately, this year's experience was a stark contrast.

Despite submitting my documents well in advance and receiving confirmation of receipt, I heard nothing back. In early April, concerned about the approaching deadline, I contacted them and was informed about a family emergency. They assured me extensions had been filed for everyone, but as we typically owe on our taxes, extensions wouldn't help with payment deadlines. An estimated amount for payment would have been very helpful, but despite promises, I never received it. My attempts to reach out for updates resulted in the same response - my documents were being finalized - with no follow-up communication.

With the deadline looming, I used TurboTax to determine our estimated payment. I was hopeful the situation would be resolved by now considering they had all our documents, and I still preferred their expertise for completing the return. However, there has been zero updates from the company and the complete lack of communication throughout this process has been astonishing. It's incredibly disappointing to see years of established trust destroyed by such poor business management.

A friend recommend this tax place. Worst experience ever, I had a phone appt. With Spencer, which he never called me. Then I was referred to his assistant, who prepared my taxes. The assistant was not experienced and was not organized, the assistant misplaced my tax paperwork and had to resubmit it. Left several msg to Spencer and never returned my email or call, very unprofessional. Never go back again.

He's very quick with numbers and takes the time to go through every paperwork so that our taxes are filed correctly.
