I called there to find out about the coming kokanee run, and was greeted by a busy but polite and ultimately pleasant female voice. She answered my questions, warned me about the closure of many places were the fresh water sockeye salmon would be found, and also warned me that there has been precious little rain this past year, which means that many streams will most probably be dry. During dry years Sockeye salmon at times just drop their eggs where the mouth of the stream would have been had there been rain. Not many eggs will be fertile in such conditions. I was grateful for the info, for her time, and her professional, yet pleasant tone. If that is the way all their people treat clients - that's very good.

Pathetic planning on the cities behalf. Nowhere to park nothing to accomadate seasonal workers. Greedy greedy are all the businesses. Come visit Tahoe! But pay us to breathe the air! Give us your money and leave is the general mindset. This city is In desperate need of honest people.
