I have been attempting to open an account to transfer a large amount of money to Simplicity Credit Union. They are unable to open a new member account because someone got promoted. Now they have one person able to open you an account but they float between Point and Rapids so their availability is unknown. I've never encountered a financial institute that doesn't want your money. Simplicity is very complicated. They are the most unprofessional and unorganized company I've ever experienced.
In addition they don't have coffee or even a mint. But you can buy a candy bar while you wait to hear what they can't do for you.

I had an appointment with Nydia. I showed up a few minutes early. Nydia was made aware that I was there (was sitting a few feet away, in plain view). She wasn't with any customers but made me sit there and wait for another five minutes. Great customer service! I was looking to open an account for my parents, and had the notarized POA paperwork with me, but Nydia told me that it wasn't acceptable because the line which stated that I could open a bank account for them had an "X" instead of their initials, and anyone could do that (as if anyone couldn't write their initials - clown!!). Okay, if Simplicity doesn't want their business, I'll take it elsewhere...other banks in town have had no trouble accepting the paperwork. Here's a suggestion to Simplicity management - if your employees don't understand the meaning of customer service, and can't use any common sense, maybe get rid of them.

Fraudulent/Error Zelle Transaction came out of my account totaling $1000, Simplicity denied the dispute claiming it was not an error and that the recipient received the money. Claiming I would need to work with the recipient to get the money back, the recipient never received the money in his account and I proved this with a bank statement. Neither bank will return the missing money. Stay away from Simplicity, they wont stand behind their customers when there is an issue.

I’ve had SCU for greater than 20 yrs. Recently paid off a loan with cash and waited for 10 days to get the title. Contacted the DMV to find out where title was and was told the lien had not been released yet. Contacted SCU to find out what the issue was only to be told they have to put a 10 day hold on the money?
We live in Madison and drove to their shared branch as they directed, paid cash and then called SCU to pay off which they did that day. Absolutely no reason not to release the title that day. Have never ever gotten such a run around. Be aware if you take a loan out. We are done with them😡

I wish I do 2 ratings, 5 stars for the actual business but 1 star for the fraud department. This was my very first bank account and honestly never had problems until now. I had a fraud issue and they made it so difficult and said one thing then switched what they said next day. Kenny was very rude over the phone and text saying I was uncooperative (I had talked on the phone with him over 30 minutes and answered every question and proceeded to keep answering questions this morning. The only thing I couldn't be cooperative about was calling again because I was at work.) He also talked down to me because I fell for a scam saying "this can't happen again", scams aren't uncommon and as a human it's hard to tell if something is real or not sometimes. The fraud department is there to help if you wind up dealing with a scam NOT make you feel bad and make you feel dumb when you ask questions. I'm hoping this service gets better, the fraud department is supposed to help not make me cry because I can't figure out how to get my account unlocked

I bank with a different credit union - Simplicity is part of the Shared Branch network. A family member went to make a cash deposit into my account for me and they wouldn't allow it unless I was present - completely negates the reason for having a shared branch network. Never run into this with another credit union or bank. Seems like there's a complete lack of convenience and customer service here.

A 1 star isn't even good enough for this place. Went there in person to pay off a lien for some ones motorcycle because I was purchasing it. The bank teller asked where the title was being sent to and it was sent to me, but when i asked if there was anything else needed. They said "no, you are all good". and now I can't even get it registered or get in contact with the owner. If the bank teller that day said that i needed a bill of sales, then it would of been a lot easier instead of all this. I even called and they said that there is nothing they can do because they need him to ask for the bill of sales. Why can't the bank just give me the bill of sales since it was their fault to begin with?

This is a good Credit Union. The tellers are very polite. The financial person really knew what she had to do to help us.
