The lactation consultants at River Region Lactation are amazing! Jill Buck was especially helpful. She is a wealth of knowledge, and she treats you with compassion and kindness and is just so so supportive. She met me where I was at and gave me the skills and encouragement I needed to keep going, time and time again (it was a long journey for the first couple of months :)). I really appreciated all the resources she shared with me, they were very helpful at different stages of my breastfeeding journey. You can feel so lost as a new mom that it’s really helpful to have someone guide you through. And you can tell she absolutely loves this work so she is a joy to be around. I always knew I wanted to breastfeed and I was 100% committed, but I didn’t know I would have so many challenges. Without Jill and the rest of the ladies I don’t know if I could have continued breastfeeding, but now I’m now 8 months in and counting. Breastfeeding is now easy and it’s a joy. I love being able to bond with my baby this way, and it’s also a great way to soothe him and to help him get sleepy and ready for bed, so I’m really glad I have this in my “toolbox.” Just as importantly, my baby loves it, too (he tolerates bottles but he loves to breastfeed). It’s our special time together, so I’m really thankful to have had the support to get to where I am today. Thank you!

Highly recommend Jill!! She was the lactation consultant that first helped me at the hospital after giving birth and did 3 home visits with me. She was so kind, affirming, and knowledgeable. She always made me feel comfortable and supported. My baby had a tongue tie and I had an oversupply so breastfeeding started out rough, but Jill went above and beyond to find referrals, help me learn different feeding positions, and texting website links with tips. Baby is now 4 months and breastfeeding like a pro! So grateful for Jill and her genuine care for me and my baby!

I first met Jill at a breastfeeding class. You could tell how passionate she was about breastfeeding then. I didn’t realize how much support Jill would give me after this class. Jill was the biggest blessing. I was a new mom and wanted so bad to breastfeed, but nothing I did seemed to be enough for my baby. I was triple feeding, not sleeping, and I was so stressed about this situation I was compromising bonding with my newborn. I sought help at Baptist East weekly classes. Jill was so sweet and patient with me. She helped identify issues with latch, positioning, etc. She even helped guide me to seek opinions from different professionals to give me and my baby the best chance at a successful breast feeding journey. The most notable thing Jill ever did for me though, was when she came for an in-home consult through River Region Lactation. She recognized how much I was still struggling. She validated that it was okay for me to decide to stop breastfeeding. I needed that more than she knew, and once I felt okay about my decision, my bond and the health of me and my baby dramatically improved. Even though I didn’t get to breastfeed like I had always envisioned, I made the best decision for me and my baby. But let me tell you, Jill supported me through it all.i tell people all the time how much of a blessing she was! I’ll always be so grateful.

I had to most wonderful experience with Jill from River Region Lactation! As a first time mom, I loved that she met with me via video chat in February before my little one was due in March. After my little one was born, she made a weekly trip to my home to help with breastfeeding for the first month. She would (and still does) answer texts messages at random times during the day. She is so reassuring and helpful to a first time mom. If you are wanting help with lactation, River Region Lactation is the place to go. Ask for Jill! She’s the best! ♥️

I could not have better things to say about River Region Lactation! I requested an initial visit during my son’s first week home from the hospital. I was ready to pull my hair out and give up breastfeeding in that moment. Luckily, Nurse Jill came to the rescue with River Region Lactation. She’s made several more visits, and my husband and I both agree she’s the reason my breastfeeding journey has been so successful. She’s so knowledgeable and patient during our home visits, and she continues to help whenever I reach out with questions! Jill is wonderful and I’d recommend her for anyone looking for a lactation consultant. She helped my wife at the beginning of having a newborn and has been such a great supporter of her since.
