STRONGLY recommend AVOIDING Richard Mamer CPA. Family was clients for over 30 years until this year when Richard tossed papers across the desk in 'disgust' because my elderly parents created a family trust to help protect their assets. He was angry that he wasn't consulted and refused to complete their taxes because of HIS personal opinion on trusts and protecting assets. As the business owner, I fully understand he can choose who he wants to help and the reasoning (although flawed) behind it. Incredibly disappointed in Richard and his behavior towards my parents, especially since they have been his client for decades. If you are looking for an CPA that only has the best interest of himself and his personal beliefs, then Mamer is your guy. If you are looking for someone who will consider all options in the best interest of the CLIENT then I would stay FAR FAR away from Richard Mamer CPA.
