Would not let me access my money because my phone was broken. I was unable to take care of my obligations because for some reason my verbal password never works my my phone is broken. I provided them with my social, birthday, card numbers and account.

I have had nothing but problems with RCU credit cards. I have called them when I did not authorize a transaction on my credit card to challenge the charge, and they instead closed my card under fraud. This was after I repeatedly informed their fraud department it was not fraud but an unauthorized charge for an annual renewal that was charged early. I had already informed the business that I was not renewing and cancelled my account. All that RCU had to do was stop the charge and it would have been fine.

NOW I am the customer who has no credit card and the other payments I have linked to the card will now not go through. I've never had this issue with Citi, Wells Fargo, Barclays, or other credit card companies I have used over 30 years. When I challenge the charge, they investigate it with the merchant and clear up the discrepancy. NOT RCU. They cancel the card saying it's fraud even when I specifically informed them it was not. This is a crappy practice that is inconsiderate of the customer and short sighted. I repeated the inconvenience and got zero help.
Go somewhere else for your banking.

Today I was assisted by Mario the bank teller. He was a great help! Mario was very kind, understanding and it really felt like he did everything in his power to help me. He is the model example of a Redwood Credit Union employee and the reason I love RCU!

I called in this morning May 7th at 10:23am ( I hope corporate listens to this call ) my family and I have been redwood customers for over a decade my grandparents for over two decades this by far has the been the worst experience I’ve ever had. The initial young lady I spoke with it felt like we were constantly arguing, by the way she sounded on the phone you could tell she definitely didn’t want to be at work and she asked me multiple times “hey you just want to call back later?” Instead of calmly politely just trying to help me. By the way I guess no one at Redwood credit union knows what a cash app is which is insane for a bank to say considering they work with major banks and corporations. Then I got transferred to her supervisor Mellisa and it was the same situation constantly debating over the situation which there was no need to and trying to teach me how to do the banks job for them intending of just doing it. Pretty sure she even asked me some bank questions trying to quiz me rather then doing it herself. I’ve never had a problem with Redwood I do love this bank but the attitude on these two lady’s definitely needs to be addressed and fixed immediately.

Nice people but slow. Took 1.5 hours to open a savings account even though I was first in line for a banker 1 on 1. They show up 930ish not 9a. My new job only uses them for a health savings account.

Redwood is Amazing, Specifically Josh! I tell you his head is on a swivel. He is great with managing customers when the line is getting long yet he still takes the time with each member! I am always happy to wait because I know the service will be well worth it. Give him a raise!!

It’s not a bad bank but it ain’t reliable when it comes to getting your money back from crooked sites, If you’re simplistic and like debt and don’t expect to make a lot of business in life this credit union is for you, I had some purchases made on my account and they never helped me get those resolved, I contacted them and told them the situation, I was duped and was not taken seriously as previsional credit was overturned, I wouldn’t choose a bank that would turn their back on you, especially when things get serious, words matter in this country, everything you say and do, and fraud won’t be taken lightly, after 5 years, 23 now, of being a member, I highly suggest going to a different credit union and changing banks and avoiding this one if you can, don’t be surprised when they don’t help you when Illegal activity is going on, 235$ may not be a lot but I know those direct deposits is something they like, but I won’t be staying here any longer. I’ll write google reviews as well, This will make way for a new credit union and better bank. I should have changed years ago.
