Strongly recommend that you do not rent or buy from Realty Consultants Property Management. The only person worth giving your money to with this agency is The Women at the front desk. They will give hidden fees, give false promises, not fix anything they damaged and will find ways to put everything on you. They lack professional manners and are very unwilling to take the time to understand the people who rent from them.

Thursday 07/11/2024: I honestly thought this place was a scam, so much so that I made a 3 hour round trip on 07/09/2024 from Mooresville, NC directly to this company office in Greensboro, NC.

I have been in contact with Earnnest (the payment system they use), and they said that I will be entitled to a full refund in the event that this rental company is not legitimate.
I have also contacted the owners of the property this company is “managing” directly to inform them of the questionable business practices that are taking place.

Over the course of 7 days, they did not want to not disclose the lease before I paid a security deposit (which is highly unconventional, and unreasonable).
After my 3 hour round trip, and also a whole chain of emails over multiple business days, they finally forked over the BLANK AND UNPREPARED*** lease agreement.

* Please note that if this is your first application for a rental property, this is a highly unusual practice.
You should absolutely be able to read what you’re agreeing to before transferring any funds. *
I have never lost a security deposit before, but after a brief conversation with Candy, forfeiting a security deposit with this company is common practice.
Please, do not let people like this take advantage of you.
Take photos and video of absolutely every single square inch before you move any personal belongings in and after you move your belongings out of the property after your professional cleaning (which is a requirement on the contract that is paid out of the tenant’s pocket).

The people who work here seem superficially “nice” enough, but there is a significant lack of comprehension and accountability.

The most legitimate person I’ve corresponded with (over email) has been Javier Gutierrez.
He seems very professional and gets tasks accomplished in a very timely manner.
In a couple of hours (less than one business day) and 5 short emails and we got what we needed to accomplished.

Candy is “nice”, but I think she is brand new to her position and seeks constant direction from everyone else in the office for most tasks.
Just try to be patient with her.
To be human is to make mistakes…
That, and/or the office has been punishing her for simply being a human being (which is inhumane and clearly not helping her performance in her role).

Candy Curtis and Stephanie Dizon both never apologized for their mistakes during this process.
It’s not that hard when clearly they are the ones that repeatedly messed up.
It’s really not that big of a deal, sometimes people mess up.
How someone acts after a simple mistake is really what is important.

Plus 2 stars for ease of payments using an online platform and Javier’s excellent customer service.
Minus 3 stars for the interactions with Candy/Stephanie and making absolutely everything more time consuming and inefficient for literally no reason and the harassment from someone named Brittany Collins.

Update 07/12/2024 I have revoked funds through Earnnest successfully for the “lease preparation fee” (as they did not prepare anything but a blank document) and my “security deposit”.

What they’re doing is violating laws and exercising illegitimate business practices.
I am NOT a lawyer, I just dated a top corporate raider real estate attorney here in NC for 10 years.
Please, do not let these “property management” companies like this intimidate you or try to scare you.
It is a scam.

If I cannot steer you away from applying with this company, please remember, if you ask a direct question and they use a psychological technique called DARVO (deny, attack, reverse victim and offender) or cannot answer a simple question directly, you are likely being manipulated.
I am lucky that I got out of this situation unscathed.
It is absolutely deplorable that others who were vulnerable were not so lucky.

If something doesn’t feel right, IT’S NOT!
ALWAYS TRUST YOURSELF!

If they attempt to contact me again, I will interpret it as harassment.
Good riddance, and good luck out there fellow renters!

Definitely not a company that cares for their tenants and you can tell just by looking on their page. Everything is geared towards home owners. Zero stars if I could…we had found a prefect home. I mean PERFECT in our budget, in the area and everything. but we didn’t have a few things and were instantly rejected not even considered. We were very willing to work with them. I mean willing to do ANYTHING to get this home in our hands…was told one thing at first and then told a completely different thing. Don’t appreciate giving us hope only to shut us down. (Candy is very rude. Don’t understand how she has a job.) reviews speak volumes.

UPDATE: This company came through on their promise to look into our documents, and we were reimbursed more of our deposit.

RENTERS BEWARE!! Think twice before using Realty Consultants Property Management. We have learned that they do not seem to care for their tenants. We had rented a house for several years with this company. We were great tenants and tried to take care of the place as if it were our own. When we moved out they deducted from our deposit for damages that were present when we moved in. Damages that were never fixed for us. Both my wife and I reached out to Stephanie about this, and we were promised that she would look into this. We never heard back from her, even after asking about whether or not she had the chance to look into things. Obviously they don't read the walkthrough document you fill out when you first move in. Also, when we moved out somehow we accidentally left some of our favorite dishes at the property. We were never told about them until after they had been tossed. Don't treat all tenants as bad tenants. You could have reached out to us to see if we wanted our dishes. The only good point for this company is their maintenance crew. Jason was awesome and always made sure things were fixed for us when needed. He was always friendly and courteous. The bad reviews are real. If I owned property I WOULD NOT use Realty Consultants Property Management. They DO NOT keep the place up as they should. Had we known this company would be JERKS, we would never have rented from them. I'm sure if we had fallen on hard financial times, we would have been evicted within a week.

Zero stars if possible.
As my wife and I moved out we had the apartment professionally cleaned (Per their request) and made sure everything was in order, then they tried to say that door handles were broken and needed to be replaced which apparently cost $250 so we didn't even get our entire refund back. They also allowed the neighbors connected to us have dogs which was not allowed. They never fixed our toilet for us when I sent in the maintenance request, we had to fix it and pay for it out of our own pocket since the maintenance staff took so long and we needed our only toilet in the apartment to function. I have called multiple times to speak with Stephanie Dizon to get a reason or explanation as well as proof that they were broken like that when they showed up after we moved. We are good, hardworking and honest people, we left this apartment in immaculate shape. I have yet to hear back from Stephanie Dizon or the director and am extremely disappointed. I feel like we were completely robbed from this company.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. I wouldn't wish my family, friends or even my worst enemy to be under management of this company because they will lie to you, steal from you, and talk to you with complete and utter disrespect.

Renters beware. If I could leave 0 stars I would. These people are as dirty as they come, scammers, cutting corners wherever. Worst experience I've ever had with a rental company. Stephanie doesn't get back to you and is constantly out of the office. I'm not sure what work she even does. The only thing good about this place is the maintenance guys, but even then these people won't even pay for a real plumber to come fix issues, they had a maintenance guy come and do the best he can. These people need a real wake up call to tenants rights, and if you're thinking about renting through them I would seriously second guess it. Thses people are scammers. Renters beware.

They don't care about their tenants, we've had an unusable kitchen sink, garage and dishwasher for the last month now. Stephanie our "property manager" is impossible to get a hold of. They don't care about getting back to you in a timely manner what soever. I've been calling daily for the last week and have gotten nothing but "Stephanie is out of the office" I dont know if she actually works there or not. I've tried to speak to whoever runs this terrible company and it seems like everyone is in cohoots and won't let me to get to anyone to complain. PLEASE PLEASE think twice before renting from these scammers
