I love the Peninsula Center Library Passport services. Very organized and friendly ladies helped my son. I got their picture service as well and the volunteer took nice picture and printed two copies and gave one back to us and attached the other one to the application. I paid picture and processing by credit card and brought my check to pay for the passport. Fast and easy way to get appointment and apply for kids passport.

Something needs to be done to have people stop eating their lunch at the computers in the library. The sign clearly states DO NOT * eat at the computers * sleep at the computers * make noise that disturbs other.

The same person brings their lunch and prepares their salad and smells the aroma of their salad dressing up in the around surrounding areas around the computers.

It’s child friendly. My kiddo was enjoying the selection of books in the children’s department.

We had a mix up on an existing appointment at the post office. Our appointment was denied. We quickly headed to the library. Thank goodness 🙏. We were lucky and they accepted us as a walk in for my sons passport. The three women there were all so freaking sweet and amazing. Thank you so much for your care and help.

Upstairs, by the parking entrance there's now a table for one person to plug in. So it looks like a new regular has claimed it as his spot. Problem is he leaves his stuff there plugged in and walks around. Then he acts suspicious towards everybody. If you're afraid your cheap little laptop might get stolen you creep, then take it with you rather than treat all of us like potential suspects. There's NO FREAKIN COMMUNITY at this library. It's so dreadful and getting worse.

Now they put a lock on the electric curtains on the mezzanine so an employee has to put them up and down. Well, the sun was over the hill, so it would have been nice to put them back up for a few hours since the light is so dim but NOBODY ever came up to do their job. So I got to stare at a white curtain instead of the nice outdoors.

1 year later, same guy same spot. Is he REAL ?

The ROBOT 🤖 is still at the same computer 🖥️ 2 years later. I swear he's a MANNEQUIN.

I experienced an ABUSIVE SITUATION here when I asked a lady if she could please be quiet because she was actually yelling into her phone on the other side of the computer kiosk.. she thought that was asking too much and literally growled at me " I don't have to be quiet " 👿. .. even though the little sign on each computer kiosk says " this is a quiet area ". etc I'll finish this later.b

Two stars for the otherwise nice library. This review, however, is about the passport facility.

Perhaps I picked an off day, but your employees that time were rude and dismissive towards my concerns. I know that there are tough passport requirements, but acting rude towards your customers does not help. I don't want to expect DMV service after driving 30 minutes to here. Not at all.

To the rest of the employees though that have been helpful, you guys are great! Keep it up and help the customers the best way you can!

Large open library with plenty of study desk the 2nd floor which is a quite zone. Great kids area with a small amphitheater for story times. Private study rooms are available to reserve as well. Well staffed so help isn't ever an issue. Parking can be tough sometimes but a new parking lot is being built. Good hours but limited on weekends so double check before you go. For me personally, it's cold. The a/c works.
