These people stole $200 from me this morning refused to give my money back I didn’t complete any paperwork for them to even start working for me contacted them at 1pm and told them I no longer needed them because I now have the rent money i needed once they refunded me my $200 they took then just this evening at 458pm sent me paperwork to fill out oh hell no all I need is my money I don’t need nor want your services this is a scam a rip off

I generally refrain from posting reviews about businesses, but this situation warrants it. I was referred to Jeremy of Miod and Co. by my former family law attorney and retained his firm with a $7,500 payment. However, I soon received outrageous invoices, including a $30,000 charge just for downloading 2-3 years' worth of bank statements. The billing practices were excessive and seemed unethical, with triple charges for what appeared to be incompetent staff. Weekly updates on work progress, which were automatically billed, added to the costs.

There was no specific urgency in my case, yet the firm billed excessively each month for downloading and organizing files which were already quite organized as I had prepared them into the categories they had requested. One employee, "Berenice," seemed complicit in these practices. Despite having hired many professional firms in the past and being warned about potential unethical billing in forensic accounting, this experience was unprecedented. Although they eventually wrote off the excessive charges, they retained my $7,500 retainer without providing substantial documentation of the work performed, other than downloading documents.

I strongly advise against trusting Jeremy and this firm or the positive reviews you may read. The world of family law and divorce can be challenging, and unfortunately, Jeremy and his firm exemplify the darker, unethical side of it. I have shared my experience with other family law professionals to caution them about this firm's practices.

Jeremy Salvador and his team were highly recommended to me by my family law attorney. I can't agree with that recommendation after working with Miod and Company. I experienced excessive charges, very long wait times, and a complete lack of communication from the team. I was charged $6300 over three months just to summarize what my spouse and I made the prior year and plug those numbers into the Disso Master. My attorney has done the same analysis and gotten the same result over the phone with me in less than 30 minutes. I was then charged another $4400 over four months to provide a marital standard of living. I heard nothing from the team while the analysis was done, and then had to wait two months to get a meeting with Jeremy to discuss the findings. The only consistent communication from the company was from their billing and collections department.
