(This is company was so bad I am adding to this review I did a while ago. I have 2.5 years experience and know now that something is wrong with this company in regards to how they treat their drivers. Not one person in the office showed any kind of respect and were the most condescending people I have ever worked with in any job.

I was asked several times to drive for 11 hrs straight with a 30 minute break for days on end. I was asked to drive over night. I was asked to drive over 150 miles without pay for trailers. I was demeaned, insulted, and absolutely treated like garbage.

They also will drop your pay by .10 cents for an entire week if they don't feel your meeting the absolute unreal expectations they give you.

There is a reason why all the driver managers are behind locked doors and will never meet you face to face.

If I knew I could have reported them to OSHA for what they were doing I would have.

I am happy to be working for another reefer hauling company in the Midwest that is their direct competition.

There are better companies to drive for.)

All this company cares about is their bottom line. Guaranteed pay, detention pay, and inclement weather pay are not what they are advertised to be. All you will be with this company is a log book and nothing more.

I drove over 3k miles a week at times for this company and was still treated horrible by the office employees. YOU WILL NOT MATTER TO THIS COMPANY.

They also hold premium pay over your head. You really only get .52 cents a mile, but with incentive every week it's possible to get .62 if they "feel" like you were productive enough.

I got fed up when I was out on the road for four weeks and needed to be home on Friday because my wife was getting her cancer results back, but they wanted to keep away from home two days longer than planned and then denied me .62 a mile when I told them no. This was not the only incident. My fleet manager was a total douche.

I talked to every Marten driver I could to find out if this was how Marten treated drivers, and the majority said yes.

Only a handful of office employees were not smug and condescending as well.

Started Driving for Marten Transport about over 2 years now and let me say best company !! They keep you safe at all times and if you need anything they are always Available to help ! ..

I would give Marten 5 stars for having enough work to keep moving.
I gave one star for some unprofessional staffs they have in this company.
I had an no injuries accident on 03/24/20 and it's the firs ever accident on my driving record, which I have been driving truck since early 80's when the diesel fuel was. 50 CPG.
And I had no tickets on my driving record either.
The result of the accident on the police report was no injuries or towing to any vehicles and no citation was issued to me either.
The damage I caused to the other truck it's under $4800 and that's the Freightliner dealer charges, that's replacing all parts new and paint job too included.
Marten Transport Risk Management guy name Ryan, discharged me for what he claimed there's injuries and damage over $28000. Never ask how the accident happened or ask me to give accident report, all what he said( it's what it's).
Marten Risk Management, fail to follow the FMCSA requirements which, ANY DRIVER involved in any injury accident must take a drug test in 2 hours period, Ryan fail to do so.
That's Marten Transport, seems smiling in the driver face and deep inside the shows different things.
I was one of their top O/O contract in running miles, they ignored that just for small accident and it's the first accident I had in my driving history, that's ashame on a company like Marten.
And to salt to the wound, Marten took $1500 out of my check because what they claiming there's injury.
I am asking Mr. Randall Marten to get to his RM and show me where's the injured person and how the damage is $28000.
It's the first incident with Marten Transport and the only accident I had.
Seems Marten Transport don't care about the driver performance, one small mistake you're out.
But if their dispatcher mistreat you with the low mile and shity load it's okay.
At this point I wouldn't recommend this place, unless I get this matter resolved, by Marten Transport show all what their RM claims are true and provide evidence of the injury and the $28000 damage.

In picture number 4 shows the driver with no injury to him. And look at the police report.
Marten Transport, refused to review the accident on their truck 64888, their was parked and recorded the whole incident.
I will post this information on Marten Transport where I will find it, on FB, Indeed, Yahoo, Tweeter.

I recently parted ways with this company. I could list my grievances, but it would be a waste of time. Plus or minus aside, I didn't quit my job. I fired my employer. I went as far to fire my employer that I had to buy a car to get home and drive 850 miles.

Worst company I ever drove for, they left us hanging during Covid. I've spent the last 3 years dealing with PTSD and have pretty much had to quit driving over the stress of it

Avoid a dishonest broker! Think twice before working with them! I took a load from them and missed my appointment because the load wasn't ready. The shipper took forever to load, and as a result, I spent the whole day at the receiver. The broker wouldn't even answer me about extra money!

Been with marten almost 3 years love the company as a whole but for the purpose of this review it only is in reflect to an individual in road service. Joel likes to let drivers get dot violations rather than send out road side service. He acts like repairs are coming out of his pocket directly. I have literally told him I will let dispatch know that the load will be delivered late because he wouldn’t get my truck serviced. So in short 5 stars for marten 0 for Joel (overnight road service) so 3 stars total.

For a trucking company to post they are looking for drivers (very badly by the sign on incentives they offer) on every known media outlet on the net, they pass on experienced drivers on a daily basis. I guess they want true inexperienced steering wheel holders. SMH.
