Deb Laurel creates fantastic participatory trainings! Her trainings are crafted to keep all participants engaged and involved at all times. Deb is skillful at tweaking her training agenda based on participant needs and/or requests that are related to the subject matter of the session.

I attended one of Deb's training sessions on 10/12/2021. A group conversation had just started to take over the session, but Deb was very skilled at quickly pulling that conversation back into focus by using that situation as an example for training purposes without losing any content. No one appeared to feel unheard or upset. We were all happy to continue with the training.

I've attended many other training sessions where group conversations were allowed to take over. Too much time would pass before control was regained. We no longer had time to learn everything planned and had to skip through many slides of information to end on time. I will never know if that skipped information was valuable or not. This does not happen with Deb. You come away learning everything she intended you to learn.
