LOL! I found these reviews amusing, especially the negative ones. Most people don't take the time to write positive reviews, but negative ones always abound.

I have known, or known of, Attorney Knoke since the 80's when I was a law clerk for an attorney in Brodhead. Working in a law office as a law clerk for a year and working for attorneys as a licensed legal investigator for ten years, I am well aware of the complaints and issues that some clients have with their law offices. Practicing law is just like practicing medicine - it's not perfect science and you don't always get the results you were expecting or wanted. This includes the lawyers and what they expected or told you they thought!

There are many reasons clients don't like an outcome in their cases and may leave a negative review. Some are just looking for an excuse not to pay their bill. I assure you, for every negative review on here there is, as Paul Harvey use to say, a "rest of the story." My father, may he rest in peace, told me to "always pay your lawyer because you never know when you are going to need him again!" Good advice.

Since those days when I was working for lawyers, I have used this law office several times for a variety of issues and sent others there over the last thirty plus years. Things didn't always meet with my expectations or on my time schedule, but the experience and character of Attorney Knoke is unquestionable. I have known many attorneys in this area and chose this firm for my personal needs. I recommend this firm highly.

Are they often frustratingly slow and do most of them charge way to much for their expertise? Hell, yes! Let me tell you though, those I have worked closely with on cases, all have been incredibly overloaded, overworked, unappreciated, had language and accusation hurled at them, and yet dedicated their practices to helping people. For every negative review on here, there are probably a hundred satisfied people who were helped.

So, take the negative reviews here with a grain of salt. There's more to the "story."

My case was very straightforward. The attorney had assured me that my $1500 retainer would be more than enough to cover everything. However, I was sent an additional bill for almost $500 more with no explanation, whatsoever. I haven't had any other experiences with lawyers, but am well aware of their shady reputation, in general. This firm did nothing, but lend credence to the stereotype. I only wish zero stars were a rating option.

I have contacted their office 3 times over the last 30 years for legal help and they have been useless. Maybe if you are related or something they Might help you out, otherwise don’t waste your time

I was charged $4000 and all they did was make one court appearance and do some paperwork. I think they left their timer on while they went to lunch a couple of times. I will never go there again.
