Fantastic place to visit!! $30 entry fee but worth it. A unique place you won't find anywhere else. I recommend going from Joshua Tree visitor centre all the way down to Cap Rock, then return. Best views. We enjoyed the Hidden Valley loop trail. Do the info stops along the way. There are other one hour trails nearby.

Great park! It’s best to get there earlier in the day to avoid long lines. It’s $30 for car entrance and you get a map as well. Pass is good for 7 days which is nice. The tourist spots are cool but definitely not necessary to visit, you can find great areas by just exploring!

Great place to escape from daily life. Did a few hikes along with some rock rambling on the way. Trails are pretty flat, easy to hike, and very kids friendly.

Temperature drops pretty quickly after 4 pm, so it's better to bring a thicker jacket with you.

Was our first time visiting and we loved it! I wanted to find some easy but cool trails for the kids. We ended up going on the arch rock trail and heart rock trail. They are close to each other. We drove all the way to the top where there are spots to camp and it was better than parking at the bottom and walking all the way up. It made it easier for kids and shorter of a hike. We loved the cleanliness and beauty of the park. We will definitely be back to camp.

Joshua Tree National Park is a dream for camping and hiking. The park offers campsites for all types, from first-come, first-served to backcountry camping for a more remote experience. Many campsites are close to trails and landmarks, making it easy to dive into the park’s beauty.

For hiking, there’s something for everyone. The easy Hidden Valley Trail gives you a great introduction to the park, while Ryan Mountain offers stunning views for those seeking a challenge. The trails offer unique perspectives on the desert landscape, whether you're hiking at sunrise or sunset.

Camping under the stars and hiking through Joshua Tree's iconic desert scenery makes this place a must-visit for outdoor lovers. πŸŒ΅πŸŒ„πŸŒ΅πŸŒŒ

Definitely worth a day trip. We chose to enter from the west and exit from the north. The whole trip through the park took us about two hours. Lots of scenic hiking, should you endeavor to do so.
I recommend a stop at 29 Palms Brewing after your visit. They have good beer and small food menu, but it was very good.

Personally there are so many other National Parks that are more exciting... save your money and vacation time for a better one. The town of Joshua Tree has more Joshua Trees than the national park and they're bigger and free to see. $30 per car, $25 per motorcycle, $15 per walk in. This was extremely lackluster.

What a wonderful place. We did part of the self guided tour and had no idea what to expect. Having not read up on it before coming. Besides the beauty and tranquility of the trees themselves, there are huge, awe inspiring rock formations that must be amazing and scary to climb if one is able. Although we did not intend to go there through a wrong turn, we wound up at a wonderful place where there is a huge panoramic view of the Coachella Valley, where you can see the Salton Sea, the surrounding mountains and a smaller mountain range traces the path of the San Andreas Fault. The entire park contains many different types of environments and wonderful things to see, but I was awed and amazed. One recommendation is to download the national Park service app, which has information on all the national parks and has a couple of different self guided tours of Joshua tree.
