In doing business with Iron Horse for the first time, I come away feeling very taken care of as a customer. I had never done an auction before and didn’t know what to expect, in fact, I felt a little out of place during pickup, not knowing what to do. The staff was friendly, helpful, and thorough. There was one misunderstanding where I left with only half of one of my lots, and within 24 hours of figuring this out, I was reached out to personally by phone - and they took blame (for a true mutual misunderstanding), and made things right. They truly went above and beyond with taking care of their customers, and this is exactly why I will continue coming back. Thank you Jay and Will for your prompt communication!

Just drove 2 hours for a viewing that had today’s date posted on the website. Was interested in a lot of glass fab equipment and stock items. Took time out of my busy schedule and for someone to watch my kids. No one is there and the auction manager won’t answer the phone or texts. I don’t think I’ll be bidding on this equipment anymore being that I won’t have time to come back and inspect. Sad that they have lost a likely buyer over a possible typo.

Third purchase from an Iron Horse auction. I've had good luck prior, but this one was horrible. I purchased over $2k worth of tools from the home essentials store in Denver, NC. The main lot being a big lot of Milwaukee tools. The photos showed what appeared to be new tools as they were being sold in the store before it closed. Anyone would assume the tools should be new. Description read "mostly Milwaukee tools and ten Commscopes". After getting the lot home and testing the tools, it became very obvious that these were Home Depot returns with the green and orange stickers. I know this because I have bought pallets of these in the past. More than half of the tools do not work or are missing pieces. This lot was very deceiving, and they got me good. $1400+ lot that I will be lucky to make my money back on. I will never purchase from this auction again. I would advise the auction company to do more due diligence when posting items for clients (i.e. testing items and reflecting that in the item description that bidders see). It baffles me that these tools were on the shelves with prices on them to be sold to customers prior to the auction. If I had known these were returns, I would not have been a bidder.

Was the high bidder on an item that was not advertised to have a reserve or restriction of any kind. Multiple hours afterwards I received an email saying that the bid had been rejected by the seller. If there was an intended minimum sale price why was a reserve not advertised?

Iron horse submitted a appraisel value to the court system on equipment they never even came on site to see .staff gives you the run around when you ask who gave the appraisel and how they obtained there equipment values without even seeing equipment they listed estimated to be 150k higher then 2 other auction companies they dont wanna answer no questions they say the person you need to talk to is on a air plain in the air and cant take calls nobody ever reaches back out but a hired attorney will be reaching out to obtain information on how they submitt false infromation without even coming on site to appraise anything based on prior reviews i would stay away from this company .

We had a terrible experience today 11/30/17 with Iron Horse Auction company. We were picking up over 30 items that we had purchased from two of their locations from their online auctions. When we got there the staff was EXTREMELY rude and making jokes about us. Many of the items we purchased still had other items that they had sold bolted and attached to them. When we asked for assistance to unbolt these items that we had purchased because this was not explained in the auction that we would need to bring tools to do so. They would not assist us in anyway. We also purchased shelves that said on the auction for us to pick up today. We could not pick those shelves up today because they said too much stuff was blocking the shelves and they could not get to them. After being there for over 4 hours trying to gather everything we purchased, the staff started saying to us that we had to pay them 25 cents a minute because it was after 4:00pm. This experience was EXTREMELY unprofessional and disturbing. I am very disappointed with the staff hired for this auction.

Was high bidder on an automobile that had not been listed as a reserve,minimum bid, or anything else. Then was told it was a no sale. Well if i had known that was a possibilty i would have bid more.
