I have never been there as a client, but my home was labeled as a trap house by the head person because I am in association with 2 of their clients , don't let them make you think that they don't share personal information about the clients because they most definitely do while bashing people that have no relevance to the program they are hypocrites

despite the weight of three counselors dipped in gold the scales still do not tip in the favor of the testimony presented in the brochure. Remedial recovery is what they provide. Unseasoned staff mixed with iron fist management breeds complacency. Tolerance acceptance and progress are squeezed in wherever good old boy politics run short. I can say it does Foster textbook recovery and they cling to it like it's going out of style. Should one look beyond that just then does that selfish program jargon jump out. Like turning a crank to a Jack In The box you spin your wheels and wait for the miracle to happen. they say Good help is hard to find which is clearly the case at hilltop recovery. another thing perfectly apparent is the fact that they welcome paroled tax dollars to run a wet brain halfway house / shelter. so if you are looking for a recovery do so in the spring to Fall when the need for dry beds and soup kitchen meals are lessened due to more pleasant weather. Lines for the indoor outhouse will be shorter and hallways less clogged with bumbling lost souls.

Open minded view of addiction
Clients are encouraged to find their own way as far as choosing a model of recovery. Many paths offered but none are pushed or forced. Comfortable accommodations, great food, excellent counselors.
Swimming pool, ping pong, horseshoes, workout area w/weights, mixed client base, vets welcomed.
Saved my life.
Grateful for the kindness I was shown.
I would highly recommend.

I can say that this must be the most unprofessional, harrowing facility on the west coast. A family member of mine is in attendance there and I've sent him maybe 15 letters over the span of 2 months and I've only gotten 1 back from him in which he states he never got any of my letters. That is truly wrong in that my letters offer nothing but encouragement from myself, someone who has abstained from alcohol and drugs my entire life, as well as important family news my loved one needs to be made of aware of. But apparently, my many letters sent to this facility, have been destroyed as has my faith that my loved one is receiving anythin g more then a glorified homeless shelter while seeking rehabilitation there. In the 1 letter i did get which somehow made it through their draconian postal system, he spoke of abusive conditions, deplorable attack therapy and substandard professionalism from the administrators. I do not recommend this clear lake one flew over the cuckoo's rehab by any means and if my loved one survives nurse ratched's heinous treatment schedule it will be a miracle.

Best recovery ever. They help you find yourself without holding your hand and love you even when you may not. I love HRC with so much of who I am today and it feels so good it makes me want to cry. I love you guys at Hilltop.

If I could give this place a zero I would. They dropped my schizophrenic brother off at a Walmart in the middle of the night because they couldn’t handle him. They didn’t reach out to my mother who had an ROI so we could facilitate picking him up. They were fully informed that he had this condition before taking him in. This place does not care about the health of their patients. Oh and when I called to express my concerns they hung up on me.

The best thing I ever did for myself . Knowledgeable staff who have experienced what your going yhrough. Facilities are fantastic and so is the food ,each class leaves you wanting more for your past troubled life.

Toke me into a state of mind but only after you ask for help will you get the best results. you can know what is wrong with you and not know how to fix it ask yourself " do I really want it? then be truthful about it " if the answer is yes then come to hilltop recovery
