Neighbor needed a couple of questions answered about her food stamps application, due today. Couldn't get anyone on the phone for hours. I finally had to drive out here and ask them myself for her. Single, disabled person who depends on the food stamps not to starve.

So, I got out here and as of writing this, the lobby is completely empty and there are 96 cars in the parking lot. Yes, you read that correctly, 96 cars. At a very conservative estimate of $40,000/year salary, there is currently 4 MILLION DOLLARS worth of employees inside. There are NO CITIZENS in the building being helped, just employees. They still can't answer my disabled neighbor's telephone calls. Your tax dollars at work, people.

I applied for assistance, but Light bill’s gonna cut off. Long story short I received a call The lady asked me my name. I told her this is he she said I need your Social Security I’m like what who are you then she says who she is I told her I’m downstairs about to come upstairs so I will talk to her. She said she’s not in the office. She’s at another office now and my mind is you just demand my Social Security number without telling me who you are bu t now you’re not at the office first thing I thought it was a scam long story she send Miss Wade out. she was very cool. This was in March Miss Wade comes out, asked for my documentations. I gave her my light bill because it was due next week it was cut off. She said I have to wait till it cuts off. I applied for food stamps. She said they will let me know in seven days seven days. Came and went I was denied she said don’t worry he’ll call back early April I put it in and it’s April 17 so I called and they said you can’t wait when your lights are cut off, I said, but that’s with Miss Wade told me and I told her I gave her my letter and she recorded it and put it in file two weeks three weeks before long story short I called her today I don’t know what happened. It might’ve been a bad day for her. I just called her supervisor Miss Shannon if that’s really her supervisor she asked me for my Social Security two times I gave it to her. She tells me I have to give it to her again. Is anybody from the corporate office could help me

If you’re thinking about working there just know favoritism will be shown and they will get rid of you quick for small petty reasons

They never return a call. I've called 5 times and left voice-mail. After receiving a letter saying. "Call and you may not have to come to court."
Then ended up in court 4 times on fridays because they always had something come up with the judge or lawyers or something. This is the least organized county courthouse and social services system I've ever dealt with. I've lived in Raleigh, Durham, Wrightsville Beach, and many other places. Never seen a more screwed up courthouse or SS system in 30 years of paying child support.
