Doug and Ken have been at this for a long time, and it really shows in their work. They know what they're doing. And when the business is fixing safety hazards, longevity positively correlates with legitimacy.

Removing asbestos is a dirty job... but these guys will do it, and do it well.

These guys saved me at least two-and-a-half grand. Let me explain. I had my house insulated by a very highly regarded local firm with an A+ rating from the BBB. But as their own energy auditor later pointed out, the company just plain forgot to insulate the small attic above my kitchen addition. When they returned to finish the job a few months later, they looked in that area and said, "There's vermiculite up there. It's an environmental hazard (likely asbestos contamination) and we can't/won't touch it." I needed to get an asbestos/vermiculite-removal company to take out the contaminant. I called one company with numerous glowing on-line reviews, as well as Evironmental Construction Services -- if for no other reason than to get a second estimate from a company located right in my neighborhood. The guy from the first company briefly poked his head into the crawl space and said he'd send us an estimate. A short while later, Ken Johnson from ECS appeared. He climbed way up into the space and, after poking around for a few minutes, climbed down with the good news: I didn't need any special services because the "vermiculite" was really just a certain form of cellulose insulation. Long story short: I almost blew several thousand dollars because two different companies with stellar reputations didn't fully know what they were were talking about. But ECS set me straight. Not only that, but both times I called them they answered on one ring.

Incredibly fast response but what really impressed me was that they did not “oversell” us at all - he was just as clear about what was not an issue and that we don’t have to worry about.
