The illegally repoed a friend of mine's car and refused to give her back her possessions and only communicated with her through text and then blocked her when she asked where her stuff in the car was? Company has been reported to the better Business bureau as well as the financial crimes division of LAPD and the internal revenue services criminal investigative division.

I purchased my first car EVER after having a major car accident that resulted in my previous vehicle being totaled. I needed to get into a car fast since I am a single mom with two kids. I went up to Car world only to not see the car I came for. The gentleman showed me the Land rover and gave me a great deal on it. I put $5000 down payment on the car and expected to pay $550 per month for my standard car payment. I made a $500 payment on October 14th and then $800 payment on 11/08. I was under the impression that the money I was paying was going towards my car payment only to find out this company charged me a "balloon payment "of $1750. I did not get any calls stating I was late on my payments or that I needed to pay anything extra for having the car. Fast forward my 2 year daughter woke up sick so I decided to take her to urgent care. While I am in the waiting room at the hospital I look out the window and My car is being towed away. I thought maybe I parked in the wrong area only to find out my brand new car was being repossessed. I called the company where a very rude gentleman explained that I would need to pay $3,000 to get my car out of the tow yard. I asked him why this was happening and he explained the balloon payment to me and stated that the $1300 I had paid went towards the $1750 balance that I was unaware of. I asked for a copy of my signed agreement and he stated he would have to find it. After not receiving the copy of my agreement I called and asked how do I get my belongings out of the car since I had just went Christmas shopping the day before and all of that was left in the car. Paul explained that my stuff had already been removed from the car. I was confused by this statement since they had only towed my vehicle two hours before. Paul gave me a cell phone number to reach out to the repo company so I could get my belongings. I was told my car was towed to Car World and I could get my stuff at the dealership. 12/19 I show up to the dealership approx. 2 1/2 hours after my car was towed and they told me I needed to drive to Montclair 2 hours away to get my belongings. I am extremely upset at this point because why are my belongings being removed from a car that I have until January 4th to get out. When speaking with the repo guy who states he is the owner of Eagle recovery services he was also very rude and gave me the address to the Montclair police station to meet him on 12/20 at 3:30pm to get my belongings from him. I asked why my belonging were removed from the car in less than 24 hours and he explained that he was within his rights for taking my stuff. I had Christmas gifts, car seats, my ID, money, a stroller, etc. in the car. He then proceeded to threaten me and say if I show up later than 3:30pm then he will charge me $100 inventory fee. Both of these companies are scam artist and have been taking advantage of people for ears. Both companies have horrible reviews on Yelp and they should be shut down.

fraud. repo man claimed to be a manager for the auto group that vehicle is being financed through. ended up faking a deal to reinstate the lease and then when the car got picked up from the finance company, the car had a huge gash and engine is basically blown. oil pan was ripped apart and all fluids were drained from vehicle. Blocked our phone number and is hiding incognito.
