This is a great local shop that has prioritized saving me money on my vehicles. The owner Todd is a good guy who really cares about the community. 10/10 would recommend. They do great work and get you the best price.

Called to ask about pricing, got an attitude from someone working the phone. What a shitty business practice to tell someone “Well if I charge you $10,000 it’s $10,000, if I wanna charge you $1,000 I can charge you $1,000” Driving the extra 14 minutes to Auburn for REAL professional business practice was well worth it. This place is pathetic.

Todd and Pete were helpful, accommodating, professional, friendly, and funny. A wonderful experience. As a woman, it's often disappointing to go to a garage. I was married to a mechanic, so I have the advantage of knowing a thing or two. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any service necessary.

These folks are an incredible find in this day and age! They actually take thier time to help you vs just turning a buck. Very good technicians at very good prices. The place is a gem in the rough!! A place you can trust. Very happy to have found them. I usually do my own work because I've had many bad experiences but feel very comfortable leaving my vehicles here repairs, smog...everything from now on.

Todd’s great, but beware of his employees, particularly the one with long hair, he accused me of having an aftermarket catalytic converter, after spending time and money with the referee at American river college, it’s in fact a factory cat. Got my truck smogged with zero problems at a different place with no hassle. Just a heads up to people looking to get their cars smogged at this place. I myself will no longer go to colfax auto and smog.

My family referred me to Colfax Smog and Auto after another shop was giving me the runaround for a basic oil change. First visit was great! Todd is smart as a whip, super honest and affordable! My son needed work on his cars and we took them there too! Recently my son's Suburban threw a code and was acting up. Todd and Glen saved the day again!! I highly recommend them!!!

I had the best experience getting my car smogged here. They were able to get me in with a drop in. Highly recommend setting an appointment as these guys are busy. They even checked my tire pressure and helped me install some clips for my hood protector. Will definitely be coming back for oil changes and more.
