Proceed with caution with Gene Siciliano.

Gene Sicilano and his company are not about delivering results.

One of the objectives Gene had for us was to construct a letter to the SBA to help our business deal with the extreme stresses of COVID. Gene knew how important this was to us as we were having to lay off staff, take on more debt and we needed solutions to help make cuts to sustain.

I am by no means a financial expert and was trusting and relying on Gene's expertise as a book author and man of 35 years of experience to help get our business back in shape.

Gene kept telling me how great his staff was doing all the while not delivering real results that we could take action on or explaining what they were doing. He provided information that was above my head while not taking the time to explain it in a fashion that I could understand or implement.

No cuts were ever suggested as I kept getting told our books were not good. All the many hours later the books were no better to help us be able to provide insights for cuts then when Gene started.

Ultimately Gene went on vacation when the SBA deadline was coming up. It was very disheartening that Gene charged up a large sum of money causing us to need to pause work which resulted in the letter not getting completed though he was satisfied to leave on vacation leaving us to find other options.

Ultimately the letter to the SBA got completed by a firm that did it for free all the while they made sure I comprehended their process and suggestions. This firm reviewed Gene's work and said it was subpar at best.

When Gene got back from his vacation we asked him to reduce his overly inflated bill which was 5 figures and resulted in no results! He agreed to reduce his bill which we were grateful for. The unethical issue came up when Gene then wrote the BBB as if he was a customer of ours. He wrote that he didnt get paid even after he agreed to reducing his bill which we did pay. The BBB has opened a file up now as Gene is not a client. For someone who is an author and claiming to be a high end professional of many years we all have found Gene to be a major let down. Save yourself the money and hassle and go with someone much less expensive and someone that will talk to you on your level so you can get the results you deserve.
