Been a CFOs customer for several years. Since new ownership, I have received nothing but poor poor poor service. I have been Charged Thousands of dollars for Bookkeeping and Accounting which wasn't performed correctly. My books wear Off by thousands ! My closing statements didnt match at all. My taxes were Not filed at all Or Late. Every single year had an amendment or extension. Even they forgot to do my taxes and if I didnt ask I would have never known!! My expenses were off and multiple illegal mistakes were made which I do have a proof of. My emails and requests were ignored and my account neglected until it was too late. In November I had to find someone else to fix years of CFOs mistakes. After reaching out to them I was contacted by the "New" owner that turned out not to be an owner at all, just an acting manager. After explaining that all I want is a refund for services not provided he immediately told me that he doesn't have they money and he is not responsible for those mistakes as he just bought the company... After consulting with CPA attorney I reached out again and ask for proof of buying the company Ive been told its not really happened but maybe it will in future. Than I have been told that They are Not responsible for anything at all. I was told by " New Owner" that I shouldn't waste my time and money because they way everything is setup is that they take no responsibility of work they are performing. Then he explained that they work is performed as "received" ? Witch means that they assume what is what and never ask any questions. The Accounting that they book is different that you want. No verifications of transactions and no common sense. In 2 years CFOs have never reached out to confirm any transactions and did all "bookkeeping" and 0 accounting.
After speaking with a 3rd party Audit company and Seeing results of CFOs work I am only hopeful that I don't end up loosing my business because of them. Matt C. was very unhelpful and defensive only focusing on fact that I should follow with a Legal matter because he is untouchable. All I can say is Get a second opinion! Check you paperwork and make sure its right!  Contact someone else and get a 3rd party Audit to make sure you don't end up like me!I will continue in a Legal matter and File a complaint with the Secretary of State and BBB.

Months after, I have reached out to BBB And DOJ! Both have reached out to CFO's with no response.... That just shows you what kind of business they practice.

It was time to find a local accountant after using one in FL for 30 yrs. Spent 8 months talking with firms large and small. After speaking with Mike Sowinski of CFO Consultants, I found him to be upbeat, very knowledgeable, and easy to follow/understand esp with complicated accounting matters. I had him prepare 2 sets of business and 2 sets of personal returns and was beyond pleased with his efforts. Mike's unique ability to utilize a bigger cohesive approach rather than to just see them as individual returns made a huge financial difference. UPDATE: another year has gone by and now my whole family uses CFO Consultants and a bunch of my friends as well. We're all super thrilled with their services and if I could give higher stars than 5 I would. Doing taxes now is a fun, no stress experience and no one ever says that about tax filing!
