I have never come to the Porterville BOA and NOT had a problem with them. I do not have an account with BOA I bank somewhere else but my company’s bank is BOA so I cash in my paychecks here. All I need is my ID. I have been told at this location before that it is “too soon” to cash in my check but the money is already in the company account and all of my coworkers who also do checks have not had problems with it being “too soon” as it is the actual day that we get paid. My most recent experience was this morning, 10/18/2024 around 10:30 AM. The employee was Ariel and she was extremely rude from the get go. I came in as per usual to cash in my check and she very rude. During my exchange with her, she said to me that the name has to match the check exactly as it is on my ID. It does match, the only thing that is not there is my middle name/middle initial. Most important documents have your middle initial as optional, which was the case when I was putting my information to get checks with my company. She then proceeded to tell me that if I do not fix this that they were not going to cash in my paychecks any more. I called my managers immediately and they said they have never had ANY employee at my company have this problem. I have been going to the Tulare BOA because of my past with this bank and have never had any problems before with my check OR the customer service. Ariel proceeded to put my cash on the counter and that was it. She did not say thank you have a good day, nothing. Not even an acknowledgment after this. Do better Porterville BOA…

Only one branch in an area serving several cities. Several local and convenient branches have been closed. Extremely poor service. Profits before people.

The lines are ridiculously long. They have a line that reaches the door and one teller. One lady walking around with a tablet doing nothing and could easily jump on to a computer. The management needs to app be fired immediately and replaced with people who have common sense.

It's the first Friday of the month and there is a line to the door and the currently have one teller for regular banking and one teller for business. Employees are behind the teller counter at desks chatting with each other with no evident regard for the customers lined up to the door. Horrible customer service for an institution that uses hard earned money for corporate gain. Not sure if it is the fault of the employees, management or company culture as a whole. At the very least the employees working at the moment are at best indifferent to the mass amounts of customers filing into the queue. Currently the wait time stands at least 25 minutes. Completely unacceptable.

The worst bank I have ever been too. Lines are always long and when you need to use the business line it takes longer because someone is always at lunch, break or whatever their excuse is. No bank experience should take this long every time. Safe1 hurry and start doing business accounts!!! By the look of the reviews I'm not the only one.

I tried calling multiple times before going. I don't have an account with BofA because they are a terrible bank generally - back around 2000 they withdrew huge sums from my account repeatedly because they kept confusing my account number with someone else's. But my credit union was closed and the check I needed to cash was from a BofA account.
Nobody answered the phone.
I drove there. The line was HUGE.
I ended up waiting for over an hour in the line, only to be told by the brainless clerk that they couldn't verify the check and so I couldn't get the money. I get this check every month and it isn't bad. The Bank is Bad. They STOLE an Hour of my Life. They had 3 clerks, one of whom was taking about 10 minutes with each customer. The manager wasn't doing squat. BofA is horrible, generally, and this location is among the worst.

I called many times to see if I needed an appointment to open an account. No one answered. Not once. So I drove in hour to get there just to speak to someone and open an account. People had been waiting for over an hour if they didn't have an appointment. I spoke with the bank manager who gave me attitude and told me they can't always answer the phone when they are with customers. I told her she should be able to since she was standing around with a tablet checking people in and that's about it. It's not hard to hire someone just to answer the phone or she could do it herself if she's just standing there.

The worst Bank I ever been to. Thank god I don’t have my account here. I brought my dad to replace a debit card for his account. The relationship managers are so slow. It’s like they really don’t know what they are doing. I’m rating a one. I’m just glad I don’t bank here. The lines are long and probably one of the slowest. Don’t bank here because I see the frustrations with these people faces.
