Poor communication. Drivers on the road tend to do whatever they want without a care of others on the road. They also seem overworked, which isn't their fault but the internal hire-ups need to do something about that, because their business is clearly taking a hit. The service is also over priced.

Trash truck hit my house. Got video footage to prove it. Mary in their claims department told me to turn in a claim with my home insurance company. These people are a mess to deal with. You hit my house you pay to fix it .

Athens garbage drivers did this back in April of this year 2022. We have been calling and calling them about it. We don’t know what to do. I can’t believe that a waste management firm would break our wall and then ghost us. Who does that?! I find hard to believe all the good rating from this waste management firm since they have not made themselves responsible for their workers mistakes.

The trash guys on route put all the trash cans on one side of the alley to make pick up easier for them and they keep blocking my exit. My mom is an elderly woman and had to leave for a dr appointment last week and she had to get out of her car and move the heavy trash cans herself they were still full. Not only is it inconvenient but she's an older lady and doesn't have the strength to move them. She called to complain and it happened again this week, I was In a hurry to take my kids to school and I had to get out to move the trash cans because they were blocking our exit! If there is ever a medical emergency blocking the exit like that could be dangerous. Please stop doing this. I called customer service again today and the lady I spoke to was very sweet and told me she let the field supervisor know. I hope this doesn't happen again next week.

We use to have Waste Management for our 2yd Dumpster Service here in Pomona and was charged $75/month and now Athens either acquired WM or got a new contract with the city of Pomona and now are charging us $311/month!!! That's an 4 fold increase in cost!!! Bunch of overpriced thieves! We will see if we can change to a different company because this is freeway robbery.

Overpriced, their drivers blatantly lie about general trash removal, lies they have no interest in addressing and getting answers regarding rentals and extra services is like pulling teeth. First, I had two bins and extra trash for them to pick up. The driver drove right past my home and lied about the bins not being there. They promised to send out someone that day to pick up the trash but instead took three days to do so. My home is part of a Home Owners Association and they were breathing down my neck the whole time about the trash sitting there for days on end. My complaint about the drivers lies came to absolutely nothing.

I had bricks to get rid of due to renovations of the front and back yard. Had to rent a bin which was extremely expensive. Nearly $400 for the bin and $171 for the waste itself. They greatly exaggerated about the tonnage. $571 to get rid of a few bricks and stones. Preposterous. Business with Athens Service has been, frustrating, unaccommodating and very expensive. Too bad California doesn’t allow private companies the right to offer waste disposal services.

In many years as a resident of north Glendora I have always been extremely satisfied with the service provided by Athens. Because of our narrow alleyways each container must be hand dumped into the truck. Rain or shine, heat or cold, the workers perform reliably, very neatly and professionally. Being a property owner in other cities in LA county I am served by other disposal companies. Athens is clearly superior to those companies in areas of professionalism, ease of use (most notably in “large item pickup”) as well as phone support.

Over a Year ago ONE of there Idiot Drivers Backed into my car parked right out side my pad he's been picking up trash Here like 7 years no problem then one day He BaCKS InTo my Prius the stupid visor said ",this happens all the TimE " WOW Athens must be RICH to be paying insurance accident claims and they Always Leave TRASH everywhere .
