I have been an owner in a six-unit condo in Kill Devil Hills for @ 30 years. During that time, we have retained several management companies. As a relatively small condo, it has often been obvious that we were of secondary priority to the management companies. In some cases, the service that we received was definitely substandard.

Since we retained Desiree's company, we have received very personal and professional service. Along with the Director of Maintenance, Chris, financial management and maintenance have always been competent and timely. They are always responsive to our requests and needs. We are treated as if we are their most important clients.

As an owner of multiple condominium properties on the OBX, I have seen several different property management companies. My experience with Association Consultants has been excellent. They are very professional and follow a prudent conservative approach to managing ocean front property. They keep the building looking great and are always looking out for issues before they become major problems. For the small problems I have experienced, Association Consultants has been quick to take action and then follow up with owner's and guests to ensure the problem is fully resolved.
They are great company with a sound approach to caring for our beach front investment. I highly recommend them if you are in need of a thoughtful, proactive property manager.

I cannot say enough good things about Desiree and Association Consultants. They just took over the management of our condo units at Scrimshaw II, Kill Devil Hills last year. Within a short amount of time they have helped us get back on track with many neglected repair items, add money to our reserves, institute HOA meetings and create constant communication with the homeowners. They frequent the property and keep the grounds and lighting serviced. Being a homeowner that lives out of State, having them manage our property brings piece of mind knowing they are on top of things. We recently had an electrical situation in our unit over a weekend and Desiree went above and beyond to help us get it resolved to ensure our renters had lights. Many management companies do not want to take on small complexes. We are grateful that Association Consultants welcomed our neglected complex with open arms.
