Referred to Dr. Mampalam for my Chronic Back Pain/Spondilosis. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appt., (Business Park has a slightly confusing office set up). Walked up to office window, assistant was on face and facing away from window. I waited approx. 4-5 minutes before she turned and noticed me waited. She was pleasant and took my information. Minutes later, the Dr. came to inner office door and called my name. I followed him to a room and sat down. Dr. Mampalam asked me questions and was very professional, but also very "disconnected". I answered all of his questions, and told him of my extreme pain. He then asked me if I had a lawsuit going!! I was offended and shocked. After approx 10 minutes, (?), of him asking questions and tapping me with a mallet for reactions, he told me to send the MRI that I had done and we would go from there. I still had questions though. I asked about options, that he never spoke of and he mainly dismissed my questions and kept trying to wrap things up. I left, got into my car and just cried. After being so excited, to be referred to someone who could possibly help me after 2 years of indescribable pain. I then realized that no help would come, that my condition will worsen and that no one cares. I am simply a check in the mail, from the insurance company.
