$10-15 thousand dollars. But AON Invent is an honest invention company and
if your idea is commercially viable, they’ll know how to sell your invention
to a company. And if they don’t feel they can help you, they won’t hype you
up to get your money. Their fees are very reasonable, but their advice is

If you’re an inventor looking for companies that buy inventions, AON Invent is the place to go. I ran 3 ideas through their vetting process (AON’s Step-2). They explained in writing why their experts felt two of my ideas were destined for failure and assessed one of them as “commercially viable”. Then, just as they claim on their website, once I paid for their Step-3 service, AON Invent covered the cost of everything else, including my patent and attorney fees, professional patent illustrations and marketing materials, which in my case amounted to more than $10,000. But the most exciting thing is that AON Invent found two major companies that are interested in licensing my invention and both of them are household brands known around the world. Most invention and licensing companies avoid disclosing their “total” cost of invention service. That’s because they start out with a small fee and keep adding extra fees every couple of weeks until you’ve paid them $10-15 thousand dollars. AON Invent is different. They explain the scope and cost of invention services, right on their website. But when I called to order their $249 assessment for my idea, they wouldn’t take my money until I assured them that I had downloaded their free innovation guide and followed its instructions, showing me how to evaluate my idea myself. They said, after reading their innovation guide, 9 out of 10 inventors find ways to either improve their idea or discover conflicts with existing products that would make their idea difficult or even impossible to protect -all without paying AON a penny. As it turned out, my idea fell into the 90% category. That was disappointing but at least I still have all my money for my next idea, and I know for sure where to go. J. E. I had heard for years that all invention companies were the same. They make big promises, charge thousands of dollars, but never really help inventors and never actually license or sell their inventions. So, before I spent my hard-earned money, I contacted the Better Business Bureau to check out companies that surfaced in my internet search for “highest-rated invention companies” plus a couple that I had seen advertised on TV. Of those, according to the BBB website, AON Invent was not BBB “accredited” but was rated A+ because they had never received any complaints about them. So, I gave AON Invent a try and ordered their $249 assessment of my idea. It received a 3-star rating (their highest). Though still a bit cautious, I then ordered their licensing service (Step-3) for $3000 and am no longer skeptical. AON paid all the costs for a utility patent, licensed it to a company and collected a royalty advance that paid me back all of AON’s fees plus a few-thousand-dollars in profit even before my product went into production. In the meantime, I’ve submitted another idea in a related category, and they licensed it too. According to AON’s CEO, Larry Robertson, this had never happened before.
