Had an accident with my RV’s roof and awnings and was referred by a family member to try Flex Armor RV roofing. AMU Services is the ONLY location in Alabama that offers this spray on, lifetime warranty roofing. I called and spoke to Tiffany at AMU, probably more than she wanted me to, discussing the roofing process and whether my insurance will cover the install. I drove nearly 4 hours to AMU, dropped my RV off and Tiffany kept me updated along the way and thankfully dealt with the insurance company the entire time. They even checked my brakes and greased my wheel bearing for free. Class act! I haven’t even picked the camper up yet but am in awe by Tiffany’s expertise in the products they sell and her pleasing demeanor with dealing with 100 questions from customers. Top shelf, grade A, the cat’s meow, etc etc. 100% recommend using AMU for your RV maintenance and service support. Thanks AMU!

Best RV/Camper repair experience I have ever had. To be honest, that's not much of a compliment, but these guys are truly top notch. Long story short, they replaced an area of my roof (Found another area I was unaware of... the camper is 1 year old) and did Flex Armor. I could not be happier with them. Diligent and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful experience with AMU! Our AC in our campervan went out, and we called two local companies near Tuscaloosa who service RV's, and the other one never returned our call. AMU was super friendly, quick to respond and swiftly helped us tackle the problem we were having. They inspected our unit, which needed to be replaced. It was ordered, replaced, and back to us in a quick timeframe. The workmanship was excellent, and we are excited to get on the road again! We highly recommend using them for your RV or camper repairs.

This shop went above and beyond to get me the proper information for my to do some repairs myself and save money in the process. Although this shop did repairs on my camper, they were honest and willing to help me with what I needed to perform proper DIY routine maintenance. They gave me invaluable knowledge to help me be a better Rv owner. I cannot thank them enough. The from staff, Ms. Tiffany, was pleasant and knowledgeable on what I needed to order for parts on my DIY jobs. Tommy, Chuck and Matthew took time with me for tips on how to better perform my own maintenance. I will keep coming back to these folks for as long as they are in business. I know this must be why they are always busy as there is not a “slow season” in this small town shop.

When the alternator suddenly went out on our 1996 Beaver Patriot RV and we found ourselves broken down at a rest stop in Alabama, we looked online for a local mechanic. AMU had 5 star reviews so we contacted them first. They were tied up with other repairs and couldn’t get to us as quickly as we needed so he referred another mobile mechanic to come immediately to our rescue. His referral contact was excellent and reasonable and got us up and running within a couple of hours. However we found that we had another unrelated issue with the jacks that needed immediate attention before we could continue our journey. Tommy, the owner of AMU, invited us to overnight at his shop with full hookups so they could work on the RV. It was late on a Saturday night so they invited us to a cook out with them and their friends. They filled our propane tanks, worked on our RV, got everything repaired, fed us delicious BBQ ribs invited us to play cards with them, and came on Sunday morning to send us on our way. They weren’t even going to charge us for the repairs but my husband insisted on paying them. We’ve never had a business owner treat us like family before. I feel like we’ve made forever friends. We will stop at AMU every time we are in AL just to say hi. The world needs more people like Tommy and his amazing crew.

Passing through Mobile, AL our bedroom slide would not function. Luckily we found the part but no one available within an hour’s drive could fit us in to replace the part for a month! Looked for someone to install it along our travel route and were lucky enough to find AMU RV Repair...and with good reviews!. I called, explained our issue and when we’d be through his area. Tommy said it would be no problem and we scheduled to come in the morning after our arrival. We actually made good time and arrived the day before. Called him about 45 minutes out and before I could even finish asking if we could come early, he told me to come on in! Once we got there he got his guys right on it. We were at our campsite with the bedroom slide working that night! Highly recommend them and their services!

AMU is now my personal RV service location! After over $1000, two weeks and lots of attitude, with another RV "repair" facility in Tuscaloosa, my RV still had starting issues. We were preparing for a cross-country trip and didn't feel comfortable with the possibility of having to jump it every day so we called them on Tuesday morning (the day we were supposed to leave) and Tommy told us to bring it down and he would take a look at it right away. (The other facility had a 3 week wait and then kept it another 2 weeks to "repair" it.) Tommy and Chuck spent several hours in the blistering Alabama heat trying desperately to find the source of the problem. We decided to leave them to work in peace and opted to leave the next day so that they would not feel rushed. That afternoon Tommy called to say that they had found the issue and it had nothing to do with the expensive circuit panel that had been installed. It was a short in the system due to improper installation of the panel without the necessary bushing to prevent the metal on metal shorting. Long story, but after several hours and only $200 we were on our way. We are currently in Texas working our way to California and have not had a single issue since. When we return, we will be going back to have them show us more things on the RV. This is our first and we have so much to learn. They said they are even considering holding seminars. We would love for that to happen! Thank you Tommy and Chuck! You guys are the best!

High winds ripped my awning canvas and we also had electrical issues. Tiffany, Chuck, Mathew and the entire group took care of our needs in a professional and helpful manner. I would highly recommend this business for all your RV needs.
