I realize it might seem odd to give a collection company a 5 star rating, but they deserve it. From 2017 through 2024, when my husband’s health went south, we have periodically had medical accounts moved to Americollect from our local hospital network and Mayo Clinic. Like many people, the cost of medical care, surgeries, medical equipment, etc. was FAR more than we could pay and due to all the health & life chaos, we lost track of things, ultimately landing with collection companies. Americollect being one of them. They have been THE ONLY collection company who actively practiced good customer service. They have always been kind, respectful, polite, understanding, and offering maximum flexibility for payments. Not once have they ever been even slightly rude. I never have anxiety when I communicate with them. They have never harassed us and always honored our payment plans and provided payoff verifications. They are wonderful.

I found out from our local hospital that they use 2-3 different collection companies. So, when we had several overdue bills from hospital stays/surgeries and affiliated doctors offices charges, which were all being sent to collections within a 3-6 month period for many thousands of dollars, I asked if they would send it to Americollect, not the other companies. It took some wrangling with the hospital billing office but they finally sent everything to Americollect. They made it so easy for us. I will choose them every time if we end up in collections again. With hubby’s chronic disease issues, it’s almost a given. Such is life. I realize other reviewers might have had a bad experience but I’m guessing they were “bad apple” employee situations. I wanted to put my positive review out here because people (in general) are more apt to send negative feedback and almost never send neutral feedback. So the ratings ultimately end up very skewed towards the negative. I don’t like that and it’s definitely not an accurate reflection of how Americollect does business. They have good employees and managers and I want to recognize that.

Well that will be the one and only call I ever make to them. Very rude and very disrespectful person on the other line. She told me the date of service was from 12/2023 and that I had 6 months to put it thru insurance. It’s Feb of 2025 so they knew what they did to play the system. The “customer service” should make this a 0 but unfortunately I can’t rate it that. How do you ask someone for almost 1000$ with such a rude attitude? If you have this number calling you don’t answer it and keep disputing the debt.

This company is HORRIBLE! I went to the emergency room over a year ago and I never received a bill and since I had insurance, I thought nothing of it until last month when this collection hit my credit. I called the hospital and they told me that I had a ZERO balance. Why the collection? Apparently the doctors at the ER bill separately which I think is ODD! The hospital filled my insurance but not the doctors that work at the hospital? I called the Collection Company and spoke to the rudest woman I've ever encountered. She basically told me that I will owe the almost $1000.00 no matter what I do because they can't file insurance past 1 year from the service date. Well I didn't know I owed them until more than a year later! This is HORRIBLE. I don't have the funds to pay them!

I paid my bill that they said I owed and 2 days later someone used my credit card to by groceries at a Kroger. I believe the person I spoke with stole my credit card number. Never had any issues until I paid them.

This is a horrible company.I set up monthly payments for medical bill which I have been paying faithfully. These guys put a collections account on my credit even though I’m paying my bill as agreed. I tried to call them about this and all they did was try to make me pay my entire balance at once which I cannot afford hence the payments and said they cannot fix this entry on my credit unless I paid the full amount. I don’t believe this is right.

These people have called me non stop. I had to block them and they still call me. I told to stop calling as they call me at exactly 8am in the morning them repeated times after. I have told your agents to stop calling me so many times I'm seriously about ready to sue for harassment. 0 freaking stars and I will be making calls to attorneys and sue you all to the underworld

If I could give ZERO STARS I absolutely would. First of all when I recieved the first bill (October) I did what they said and put in my insurance information to their website (before the debt collector call) I have training and education in medical billing and coding so I know the drill. The guy (I assume) called me while I was making dinner (after hours) and gave me attitude, interrupted me, and condescended me. Long story short he was VERY rude and unprofessional!

After BBB complaint filed, they finally send me a copy of invoice that I did not receive before. Then I called Americollect and made payment. I received payment receipt in 24 hours. 2 week later, here I am. I got that automated call from Beth collector number 1972 or 1927 whatever. I called them again. The person on the phone said they set up monthly payment 🙄 the debt was $189. I paid fully. So they set up $189 for each month? Then she said she can see my payment and somebody canceled or something. Dear friends, victims like me, it is an endless nightmare. They sent me another payment history today. It shows that I paid fully. After today if I get another call from BETH, I will take legal action.
