I honestly had high hopes for ABC originally I had been admitted for detox and then would be transferred to Hacienda Valdez-The Ranch after the 8 days in detox. I decided to stay and just a few days before going into treatment from detox I began to get bullied and snarky mean comments made on a constant basis as well as being left out. Mind you the girls house is 12 girls 8 in the main house which is this tiny little two story house and we had to stay in the gate but the men had the entirety of campus to separate if an argument was happening. I brought my concerns to staff constantly and was told that “They were working on it from the back end” aka doing nothing. For a week and a half I tried and tried to just brush off the comments I finally snapped and screamed at the tech (Veronica I’m so sorry that wasn’t right of me to do and you’re amazing) as well as the girl that I had had issues with that left in the middle of the night the week before and they just let her back in. If you’re not from the streets or a violent/prison background then you’re an outcast. Because that’s definitely why I was. They didn’t like that I had family and friends that love me and send me things from back home. Also, the food was ALWAYS spicy. I had completed Hacienda Valdez in 2021 for an 8 year opioid run and have been clean. I went into ABC for a 5 month alcohol bender. If you’re a woman that is in a decent standing in life (not on the streets or no criminal background) I would highly recommend NOT going to ABC. They kicked me out saying that I was physically threatening to the staff when the night before the Program Manager Everett said he knows I would never hurt anyone. ABC you treated me unjustly and like a criminal for finally snapping and yelling yes just yelling (even creating space between me and everyone else). Didn’t give me one of my medications for night terrors either. I walked in there on my own volition because I wanted a better life. You wouldn’t even transfer me to a new facility you just dropped me off at the admission building right on Indio Blvd where there’s drugs around every corner. Good job! You severely let someone down who could have been a massive success story for you.

I have nothing bit respect for the ABC Facility , I was there during Covid, and was cook lead , under Fred who cooked exceptionally good food and would do the most for all us patients to have a great breakfast lunch dinner meals ? Amd the goodies bags !!!

No Vape. All the cigarettes you can smoke. I left treatment today, and on my way out I dropped my $160 in a plastic bag in the "HOPE" House. I went back to ask about my cash that I needed to get back home, and OF COURSE, they insisted I put it in my pocket without question. Obviously, once a client leaves the property, that's that, but for a company that is supposed to be about help and recovery they have just proven that they are ready at the drop of a plastic bag to help you learn the lessons of "Life on Life's terms" pretty damn quickly. No fraternizing with the women. You will be removed from the program after they make passive aggressive comments before confronting you about the situation. Your peers are somewhat solid, however this is an antiquated program that prides itself on its founding back in the 60s. Do not come here unless you are prepared to have as a logical response to a simple question be "well recovery isn't for everyone" Thanks again for that condescending remark, Freda. Thanks Tim for getting borderline aggressive with me over asking for my money, or if I dropped it. Guess some habits die hard, even for those in recovery. Enjoy my review.. I'd rather sit in county jail than attend this program.

After calling back 5 times, I get the same result, a Hung Up phone call. This place is shady at best, and I hope and sincerely wish for anybody seeking true recovery they take into consideration the reality of the programs and facilities they choose to give their money to and participate in. ABC recovery center would have gotten 0 Stars from me, if it was an option.

My sister called here to try and get help and said they were extremely rude. I called a few days later after we got her into a hospital to detox finally after getting the run around from every single place we went to looking for help, this was one of the places we called, unfortunately this all happened during Christmas, she was admitted Christmas Day and first thing the next morning we called more places this being one of them. When I told them I was looking for help for my sister the remark “it’s barley 9 am, already?” Was made in the background and just made me feel incredibly hopeless and like no one wanted to actually help us. I’ve never had find rehab for someone I don’t know what I’m doing and reaching out to these places that are meant to help and feeling like they do not even want to be there doesn’t exactly instill confidence. This is a super hard time, we’d all rather be at home, with our families, enjoying the holiday, but this was when she reached out and asked for help so we’re working endlessly to give it to her, it’s a very small window of hope and I feel like this placed squashed some of it. Please do better, addicts matter, they are someone’s mother, friend, son, Sister, dad, whatever the case, and they should be treated with just as much respect as you’d give yours.

I was dying from Congestive heart failure and was done using drugs. My family admitted me to this humble little recovery house on November 4, 2006. I was under the tutelage of the stern but caring Danny Leahy. Danny knew I was homeless and broke, yet he gave me a free 90-day treatment plan, including a two month stay in Sober Living. I’m forever thankful for this place, for it successfully did what Betty Ford Center failed to accomplish.

I enrolled into the 90 day Primary Residential Treatment program at ABC Recovery and it has so far been a wonderful journey with very supportive people! I had a difficult time starting my recovery process as it took me far too long to even fully realize that I had a problem, but once I made the decision, ABC Recovery were there with me every step of the way. I received my own therapist and counselor, and they both worked very hard to create a treatment plan that would cater specifically to my own needs. They were absolutely supportive and they inspired me to continue the journey even at times when I felt like giving up. The residence is absolutely stunning so close to Palm Springs. My room was wonderful, and I also met many people who have now become close friends. I feel so much better now, and although there is still a long road ahead of me, I know that I made the right decision. The staff at ABC Recovery are kind, caring and very professional and they are always there to help if you ever need them.

ABC is a rehab center that became like a second family to me. I have had the luck to experience this myself when I went in for my drug detox program in Palm Springs and they have been nothing short of amazing. They truly helped me overcome my addiction and have in turn also become like family to me. I will forever be grateful for everything that they have done, and I hope that they will be able to help many more people in the future. Luckily for me, Pasadena is close enough to visit whenever I need them. One and half hour drive is not far at all for what they have done for my life.

The ABC Recovery Center is the first drug addiction treatment center that I ever visited, and I am happy to say that it will also be the last. They have helped me turn my life around and to overcome a very bad drug addiction. Although my friends and family have been trying to get me into rehab for a long time, it wasn’t until I went to ABC that I finally decided to take this very seriously. I live in Orange County so it was easy to go over to the center and seek help, and although I lived close, I decided to still go for the full treatment and to stay in their center for the full 90 days of the treatment. I am very happy that I made this decision, and I will be recommending them to other people for years to come.
