Jeff’s been helping me with my taxes for the past 5 years. Back then, he was a one-man-show and provided exceptional service. Over time, his team has grown and their service just gets better and better.

Yorktown Main makes taxes easy. They provide a “tax organizer” each year that helps ensure you have all the documents and information you need for your maximum refund. Everything they do is professional, quick, and efficient.

On top of that, Jeff is a great guy. I actually look forward to my meetings with him. It’s clear that he respects his clients and strives to build professional relationships based on trust.

Originally, I left a poor review, but am revising my comments, after speaking with Jeffrey today. My parents in their late 80's/90's had signed an agreement with Yorktown Main Tax and Accounting for 2023 tax preparation- I understood that to be a contract which was binding, Jeffrey clarified that this was not the case. My parents were charged an initial $450 engagement fee in addition to $930 to complete their basic return, nothing owed, no refund. I was disappointed to see some sloppy mistakes- my mother's first name was misspelled on the invoice document, and there was a typo in their email on the actual return. Jeffrey's answering service made it challenging to speak with a real person in a timely manner. My takeaway is that Jeffrey is a responsive professional, but likely this was not the right Tax preparer for two seniors with a simple return. Jeffrey certainly gets credit for his willingness to discuss my feedback.

Five stars, look no further. Jeffrey and his team at Yorktown Main Tax have quickly become our lifelong CPAs and within our first meeting outshone all of the other accountants we have used in the past. Not only did they work above and beyond to fully understand our extremely complicated tax situation (as a husband-wife expat team with an LLC), but Jeffrey took the time to spend several hours educating us on our options, pointing out past oversights (even with top dollar accounting firms), and set us up in the best position possible for the future. After retiring out of the country, we were contacted by the IRS. They sent a tax owed bill for just over $600,000! Jeffrey and his team got right to work and found the issue. Upon resolving it, the IRS have closed the case with $0...yes $0 tax owed and paid. This was completed in about 5 months!!!! Doing this so well in such a short time is miraculous. BUT at the beginning, Jeffrey quoted us his fee. However, even before we could pay him, he discovered something that made him adjust his fee. It was adjusted DOWN to a lesser amount. Wait, what! He reduced his fee He could have kept it the same and just made more money for his services. Jeffrey was honest and explained why his fee was lowered. Wow what honesty. He and his team are outstanding. If you need a great accountant then you have only 1 choice: employ him to deal with your taxes !!
