When I was first looking for a community networking group 7 years, I tried a few different Chamber of Commerces in the area and decided to sign up with Lisa at the RP Chamber. Far and away the most organized and consistent events-based Chamber of Commerce I've run across. She has created a community-oriented Chamber with a variety of different events, with free mixers at local business, business breakfasts and lunches once a month and other things like ribbon-cutting events.

If you join the mailing list, you'll get regular updates on community events and everything else the Chamber puts on. Jennie, her admin assistant is also extremely helpful and prompt in answering questions. For what you pay monthly and what you can get out of it if you participate frequently, it's the best value, especially for small local businesses like mine. As a Chamber member, Lisa will also take opportunities to talk you up publicly at events when you do things like raffle off prizes or put on events of your own. Highly recommended group!
