In 2023, Lucida acquired the CPA Firm (AJE in Lake Geneva) we used to prepare our tax returns. So our 2023 tax returns were prepared by Lucida. As we fast approached the filing due date (4/15/2024), I sent emails and made calls to the CPA regarding the filing status. We never received an email response or a phone call from the accountant or anyone at Lucida before the filing date, 4/15/2024. I received a phone call from the Lucida VP 2 days after the filing due date explaining why no one at the Firm communicated with us. I'm a former CPA and have never seen anything so unprofessional. That is what happened to us, please do your own research on Lucida

Lucida Tax + Accounting (previously AJE A COUNTING) should be avoided This firm handled our Tax Return and made massive, costly mistakes.
There was never any explanation for the error accept to say 'it was a "Plug" number and AJE forgot to remove it from the finished Tax Return. We had to hire another Firm to create the correct Return.

The Owner of AJE proceeded to list all the ways we made money off of his mistake. We did not. He never even offered a refund for his sloppy, unaudited work.
