Do not use this payroll company. Unable to assist in the minor task of producing a simple W2. Told me I need to seek legal assistance if I want to try to obtain a W2 from a bankrupt employer that no longer exists. They have no problem charging companies for payroll services but cannot provide simple online tools for obtaining critical legal documents for workers to file their taxes.

I've been a Payentry customer for over a decade. Last year, I temporarily paused payroll for myself, one of our employees, for a few months. Now, in 2025, I’ve discovered that despite me contributing the full amount to my 401(k), Payentry failed to reflect this on my W-2. To correct this error, they’re charging me $560. I requested a reduction in the fee, but they showed no willingness to budge—seems they’re perfectly content to pocket the extra cash. I’m beyond frustrated!

Opened my own practice in 2020. I had no idea how to even start paying employees. Doug Mccoy has been priceless. He has been a tremendous help, if it wasn't for him I would never have gotten through this process. He has been there for me constantly, even for the dumbest questions. He is so thorough and patient. Can honestly say that if he were not to leave Payentry I would probably change company as well.
