The first contractor we had to call after moving to Polk County last year was an electrician. Mike Blackwell was recommended and we hit the jackpot! Mike came out on a Sunday afternoon and checked everything thoroughly. He made necessary repairs at a very reasonable rate and then returned later in the afternoon to make sure everything was still working correctly. We had to call later in the year for other issues and he arrived on time and made repairs at a reasonable cost (again). AND, he is just a really great guy!! We recommend Blackwell Electric without reservation.

After no follow up from another local electrician as promised, we were fortunate to get Mike to quickly perform a necessary electric pole repair. He communicated directly with Duke Energy to turn the power off and back on as needed. Mike arrived as promised, and completed the job timely. The charge for his work was very reasonable. As we continue to remodel our older home, we will again call on Mike as needed for his services. We have lived in and remodeled homes in several states. In our experience working directly with company owners is more personal, effective and satisfying.

Blackwell Electric was responsive, available, well priced and has a 16 ft step ladder, which was necessary to switch out our dead ceiling fan for a new one. We are very pleased with their service.

We're grateful to Mike Blackwell for LISTENING to our description of the problem and pointing us in the right direction. This is the 2nd time we've called him for what we assume was an electrical issue. Both times he suggested calling another professional first (well pump replacement, HVAC repair). We are very pleased for his help to discover the right solution.

Does not return calls. Makes no effort to communicate. Hey don't listen to me check out the Better Business Bureau complaints. They speak for themselves. Do yourself a favor stay away from this company. Terrible to do business with!!!
