My experience with the Spruce card I got through H&R Block has been entirely disappointing. The oversized logo looks atrociously tacky, making users seem like walking dollar signs. I constantly had to verify my identity with an ID and a selfie, a very tedious process. Every purchase triggers an alert of possible fraudulent activity, causing unnecessary stress. Given these issues, I wouldn't recommend this customer service department of Spruce or their misinterpretation of fraud protection measures, causing undue inconveniences . I had to endure a suspension of my account on the grounds of fraudulent activity. Despite numerous evidences produced by me to validate authenticity, the company ignored and eventually closed the account. As a result, critical bills were missed affecting my lifestyle including my children's necessities. My concludes with a stern warning, vowing never to use the service again and advocating for less intrusive measures unless explicitly contacted.

They sent me a bill when I never ordered a card and everytime I call their fraud department they make me hold for 30 minutes just to tell me don't don't see my name in the system which is weird because in the local office its saying $30 due. I will never in my life file my taxes with H&R BLOCK again

Never again. I have been waiting over a month for $1400 to be refunded to my account from a check that was messed up in error on their end, and told 5 different things by customer service.
