These guys are super shady. I'm a property manager and Benchmark is who is called in when a landlord wants to get liability coverage against toxic mold claims. I have never seen them get a positive test back even in cases where damage was really clear. Their inspections are a joke and they use old fashioned methods that deliberately don't catch anything. If your landlord brings these guys in, fight it. i can't in good conscience not say something when I have seen this happen too many times.

Benchmark Environmental was exceptionally helpful providing guidance on some possible asbestos issues in our attic/furnace from some potentially negligent work from a previous contractor. The owner spent over 30 minutes listening/discussing our situation and gave us clear concise information which alleviated our concerns. It was very refreshing they took the time to provide expertise and guidance without charging us a fee, something very rare these days. Benchmark Environmental is a first class organization!

They are unprofessional and rude and they do not do a thorough job. Their reports were missing a lot of important information and when I requested for more, or for them to advise on the issue at hand, the person I was talking to said "um I don't know". All such frustrating interactions—take your business elsewhere!
