I have been using Laura Bushley & Associates to handle my tax returns for a very long time. Laura is the best tax preparer I've ever had. She has a great team of employees working with her. I am also using her for my late father's living trust. She knows everything there is to know about handling/filing ALL the paperwork that is related to a trust. She is knowledgeable, honest, always on top of things, and always has time to answer my questions. I have referred her to friends that are now using her. I would not hesitate to recommend Laura L. Bushley and Associates for all your tax needs.

Unfortunately, I can not in good conscience recommend this tax agent.

I visited Laura Bushley tax office at the beginning of December 2022 and talked with her and her assistant about hiring her to work on my taxes and act as a tax consultant. She seemed nice, but during the first interaction something seemed a little off. Call it a bad vibe, or gut feeling, something just didn't seem right. The person with me felt the same kind of "vibe".

I told Laura what I was looking for, asked her what kind of documents I needed to provide, and asked what kind of timeline I might be looking at. I knew I was going to need time to go through a lot of documents in advance, scan them and provide them to Laura for taxes and others. She told me she was looking forward to working with me and would get back to me before the end of 2022 to set up a meeting.

In January 2023, I made a follow-up call and was told by one of her office assistants that she would call me back. I never heard back from anyone.

At the beginning of February, I began to become concerned and called her twice and was told she or her assistant would call me back. Once again, no one called.

The last week of February, I visited her office in person since I was in the building. I told the office assistant Laura Bushley had said she would return my call back in December, and I had contacted her office three or four times since. The assistant took a condescending tone and said, "She will call you back, when she's ready to call you back".

No one at the Laura Bushley tax office ever followed up, called me back or directly offered an explanation.

I ultimately had to rush last minute to find another tax consultant to work with.

It's important to me, that whoever I work with not only know how to do math and fill out tax forms, but that they also are committed to and understand the importance of customer service etiquette.

I understand that "Life happens", but any kind of follow-up from her office would have been appropriate.

Ultimately, I am thankful it didn't work out.
