We moved my son to One Nine after a few months at a "traditional" PT clinic. This was the best decision we could have made to help him get back on the field and work towards achieving his athletic goals. Training in an environment that caters to athletes and provides one-on-one attention has been huge in his mental and physical recovery. All the PT's are friendly and take time to get to know the patients. They are creative and have extreme attention to detail which I think will greatly improve my son's outcome as he recovers from ACL reconstruction. Specifically Kat has done an amazing job and my son looks forward to going to PT. Having sampled many clinics around SD I can say with confidence this is the best Physical Therapy Clinic in San Diego especially for athletes trying to return to sport.

John B. at One Nine is an incredible physical therapist who truly goes above and beyond. Not only did he help me recover and get back to running--he played a key role in my return to running after a ultrarunning injury. His expertise and personalized approach made all the difference in my rehab. He went beyond expected by filming videos of how the exercises should be formed. But what really sets him apart is his genuine support beyond the clinic--he even invited me to his run club, which helped rebuild my confidence. I can't recommend John enough for any runner looking to recover, improve, and get back to doing what they love!

Highly recommend! I switched to One Nine after feeling like my previous PT was not helpful and I have been super happy with my treatment and progress. As opposed to my first physical therapist which had 4-5 patients at one time, I love that One Nine is 1:1 and spends individual time with me and gives feedback on my exercises. I had an ACL tear and have made more progress in a few weeks with One Nine than 4 months with my previous PT. I love that there is a Saturday morning running club and that I feel more challenged. One Nine is very focused on getting athletes (and older want to be athletes like myself) back to play and activity in good condition. My previous PT would spend half of the time of my session icing and using stim, which never seemed to do anything. At One Nine, I am working the entire session on range of motion, balance, strength and conditioning. I am now 4 months out from surgery and back to running 5 miles a day without any pain. Highly recommend!

I had gone to Dave Gerbarg 7 years ago for an incapacitating injury following a slip and fall on my back. I had seen multiple practioners to try to get some relief - physical therapist, massage therapist, chiropractor. I was in such an acute state of pain and incapacitation - I could barely walk. No one had any understanding of what was going on or how to help me.

I can't remember how I found Dave - probably yelp, but he immediately identified the issue and began to give me relief - starting with the first session. It felt nothing short of miraculous, after 2-3 weeks of severe pain and constant frustration. It only took 4 or 5 sessions and i was good as new. I was and am so incredibly grateful.

I've recently revisited Dave for a new pain that developed in my hip. Again, he identified the issue right away and gave me relief.

Dave seems to have a level of understanding of the mechanics of the human body far beyond most other practioners. I highly recommend him.

I’ve been with OneNine for 3 years and I have loved and appreciated every moment with every trainer there. They’ve helped me with many injuries getting me back to peak performance and making it a fun journey through it all. It is the best place to get stronger and get back to practice pain free. Thank you to Travis and Dave who provided me the peace of mind and confidence that I will fully recover soon with them!!

One Nine is great! I’ve known Dr. Dave for several years and wound up going to Dr. John for knee pain. Dr. John is very knowledgeable and it was a great experience working with him. He helped open my eyes to some of the factors that may be contributing to my knee pain, as well as some of the nuances in mechanics and exercises to help. I trust One Nine’s attention and commitment to quality care.

Best PT spot in north county. I've been working with John who is an absolute expert in his craft. Been seeing him 3x a week and will continue doing so for the next 6 months or so to recover from a bad lower back injury. Can't recommend One Nine enough!

One Nine Physical Therapy is outstanding. Dave Gerbarg is highly skilled and knowledgeable, and seems to know a lot more medicine than purely PT - that's probably no coincidence as both his parents are physicians as well as numerous other family members (as am I). He is engaging, kind, caring, attentive and encouraging. I have seen him for rotator cuff issues as well as achilles tendinitis and other tendinopathies and his knowledge base is vast and for manual PT work his hands are those of a Jedi. Can't recommend Dave more highly.
