I used them for a month a few years ago. I had 2 consultations for LLC formulation. One told me I should file my marketing business LLC in California because I live here and would have to pay fees in both states, even though I have a physical Nevada address available and do most of my business out of state. When I did file my LLC I saw on the secretary of state website that's not the case, I could file in Nevada and pay California income taxes. I had another consultation for a conversion of my partnership and the attorney wanted to charge me $900 even though Bizcounsel had a rate card 1/3rd of that. Brought that up, they lowered the price to $600. I went to Reddit for advice, turns out I just had to file a new business rather than a conversion because I never filed a partnership agreement with the secretary of state. I canceled my membership after that and followed the Reddit advice with no issues.

Spent about $5,000 for this service
- Tried to switch an inc to an llc. Paperwork took 11 months. We started in January and got Secretary of State letters in November.
- Tried to get assistance filing for a new llc in January. Wasn't filed after months of reaching out. Secretary of State shows it wasn't done until September.
- A client owed us roughly $25,000. Our "lawyer" sent a letter. After that every excuse he could think of including that he took a vacation, was waiting for us, that his paralegal took a vacation...we still don't have any update and it's been 6 months.

Met with a real attorney who got us in for a free consult, walked us through everything, and told us that we shouldn't have paid the two filing fees bizcounsel charged because we are a Veteran company.

If you want actual lawyers who want to work and not waste 30 minute phone calls doing nothing for you while you're charged $480+ per month...don't hire these clowns.

I hired the team at BizCounsel to help me with the sale of my business. From the first time I spoke with Chase, I was very impressed with his attentiveness and concern for my situation. After my initial conversation, the head attorney also gave me a call to reassure me that they would do everything they could in my best interest. After speaking with Chase, I was introduced to my "team" via a Zoom meeting. Again, I was impressed with their knowledge and felt very comfortable with them handling my situation. One of the partners, Keith, assessed the value of my business and was always readily available to talk via email or phone. Again, he was very attentive. The fee structure for BizCounsel is very different from hiring an attorney by the hour. There was a flat fee that incorporated everything that would entail the sale of a business. This is very important for a small business owner as attorney fees can accumulate very quickly. Overall, this was a very positive experience, and I would hire them again, if need be.

Was originally sold on collecting balances from my customers & never got it done.

Was told some of the files needed to be sent over & have a lawsuit filed; To which my response was, okay well I want the money I'm owed so awesome.

Never heard another word about it.

They get an "up-front" in full, non refundable payment for a reason.

I wouldn't expect much besides maybe the contract revisions that you are supposed to receive with your subscriptions.

Anything further is an extra fee.
Mind you, a HEAVY fee at that.

BizCounsel is Easy to use and my attorney Chris B. is excellent! Setup was a breeze and everything was explained along the way. The representative set the right expectations and asked good questions about my business to make sure that BizCounsel would be a good fit for me. I really liked this because it made me feel that they wanted me to find a good fit too, and not just sign me up and take my payment. Great job! I feel that I can trust BizCounsel and their attorneys. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BC for those business owners out there that want peace of mind. Knowing that I can have my questions answered, documents reviewed, and more without the unknown of how long, or how much I will be billed for is great! BizCounsel offers FLAT-FEE pricing on its services so there are never any surprises. If you’re thinking about using them, I would recommend that you move forward and just do it.

If you use bizcounsel, expect to pay without receiving any real service. This company is horrible and shady. This lawyer-in-a-box will promise that they can help with your legal needs, but once you give them your credit card, they got you. And if you try to cancel because of poor service, they still charge $500 in cancelation fees, even without a contract. Please stay away from this company. In the last week alone, I've talked to 4 people that have said the same thing. Bait-and switch scum of the earth.

We have paid for 18 months without any need of counsel advice. But when we needed biz counsel was not there. I suggest for all business owners to cancel your subscription. Is better to hire a lawyer direct. It will be more expensive but they will answer fast
