I reached out to Aspire Counseling Services for a family member in need of mental health support and I was very impressed with their kindness and efficiency. From the first phone call, their staff was helpful and made the process straightforward and easy to navigate. They quickly gathered the necessary information and were able to get my family member into group therapy the following week. I truly appreciate their dedication to providing support when it's needed most. Highly recommend.

"Aspire's IOP is designed for individuals who are experiencing behavioral or emotional difficulties."

But when your child has a behavioral issue during the program, the staff will discharge your child without discussing it with you. There is supposedly a three strikes rule but my son didn't even get that courtesy. The program understood that he had ODD which is why he was at the facility to begin with. How can a mental health facility give up on a child so quickly when they are the last resort? Why would they do this without first discussing with the parents? Very unprofessional and very sad that we as a community give up on our mentally ill children so easily but don't offer any solutions. And before they comment about offering individual therapy, we have already tried that, not to mention Kaiser mental health staff is on strike and this was our only option.

Aspire has such an amazing staff and a very healthy , loving and clean environment. I was welcomed with open arms from staff and fellow clients a year ago when i joined. After having a great deal of difficulty finding a provider here in town that is actually accepting new patients I reached out to Aspire. I was quickly scheduled for my initial appointment. After completing my appointment there was a bit of difficulty with my insurance. The staff at Aspire were amazing, they helped me to get the insurance issue figured out so that I didnt miss an appointment. The staff at Aspire are some of the best and most professional people I have met. Due to my work I have dealt with several other agencies throughout Kern County and my experience at Aspire has been great. I also need to mention specifically Stephanie and Carl, these two have been great as well. They are not only professional but they are two of the most caring and compassionate people I have dealt with in a long time. Even other staff members with whom I don't interact with on a regular basis always greet me by my first name. Little things like this have always been important. Glad I finally found a facility that makes me feel welcome.

They provide a safe and engaging environment where you learn with a group, plus opportunities for one-on-one sessions. Therapy takes another meaning through Aspire and it's well worth your journey to a better you.

I love the staff and how they do things here. Yes they only take private insurance and the out of pocket costs was a bit high for me, but the thing that got me to come was they actually care about your mental health. It didn't matter to them how much I was able to pay a month they worked with me so I can focus on healing. I never got a call/letter to remind me that I owed. After attending the program for almost four months I feel like a new person, a better one then before.

This place is amazing it has definitely saved my life the staff is super supportive has been there through my bad days and my good days and even though I am a alumni they definitely still stay in touch to make sure I'm doing well they go above and beyond their job. Very unprofessional, Yessica cancled our appointment without notifying us. Front desk said it was cancled because she doesn't take insurance anymore. But we could pay cash price of $125. They didn't seem to care that my daughter had to miss her 2nd day of school. Or the fact we live out of town . It wasn't thier gas or time away from work and school. I would recommend finding another place then Aspire.
