SECURITY DEPOSIT !!!
I used to live at 888 S Hope. I moved out 2-3 months ago and I still have not gotten my security deposit back. I made several phone calls, wrote multiple emails and send letters via priority mail with proof of delivery asking them about my security deposit with an itemized invoice and got nothing. Onsite staff do not take responsibility and refer me to CIM group corporate office. And corporate does not care. A secretary answers each time, collects my info, assures me that someone will reach out to me within a day or two and then nothing. I have sued in small claims court and am waiting for my hearing. It also seems like they have packed up and closed this office at 4700 Wilshire. Building is vacant and closed to the public. Deputy Sheriff hasn’t been able to reach them either. I cannot believe they are doing this to their reputation if any left. Pathetic!!!

CIM GROUP ALLOWS THEIR MANAGEMENT/MAINTENANCE TO ILLEGALLY ENTER YOUR PROPERTY AND DENY IT WHEN CONFRONTED. IN OTHER WORDS THEY ALLOW TRESPASSING SO YOU PAY FOR RENT BUT HAVE NO ABSOLUTE PRIVACY. THEY WILL POST 24 HOUR ENTRY NOTICE BUT CONTINUE THEIR WORK DAYS AFTER THE INFORMED TIME, LEAVING YOUR APARTMENT DOOR OPEN AND ENTERING AS THEY PLEASE. THEY WONT RENT THEIR PROPERTIES TO TENANTS TO WHO HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD IN THE PAST BUT THEY WILL ALLOW CRIMINALS TO EXIST ON THEIR STAFF. CIM GROUP LOS ANGELES WILL CONTINUE THIS PRACTICE AS THEY FEEL THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW.

Absolutely terrible management. I’m living in southern towers, Alexandria VA which started being managed by CIM Group during the pandemic. The new property managers they hired are the laziest do nothings I’ve seen in real estate. Their communication is terrible and you can tell they’re extremely unorganized. Manuel Pascual is the property manager here and he’s nice, but mistakes are constantly made and it always works out to be at my expense. CIM has also made a lot of changes like paid parking for guests and extra cars as an example. The amenities like the pool and fitness center have completely fallen apart under their management. Honestly just terrible all the way around, will certainly be a company I avoid in the future.

They are planning on building 16 residential homes in one of the most dense spots in LA near Wilshire. This is why LA has a housing crisis. They build big monster homes for the smallest amount of people. This is despicable and should be illegal. I’m so disgusted in LA’s zoning laws and groups like CIM that don’t push the boundaries. Do better.

The fire alarm at their unoccupied new condo unit near SoFi has been going off for over 48 hours. Company has been utterly useless. They don't care about the neighborhood.

Very difficult company to work with. They are not willing to work with you. When they need something, they harass you, but if you ask for help, they act like it's not possible and the hardest thing ever. Find someone else to manager your property.

The interior politics of all the development department teams suck big time, other than that is a great company.
