We heard good things about days marine service.So we gave them a chance at our business and give them a call. The owner/ mechanic told me he could look at our boat in the next day or two so we brought it to his shop. First impression is the shop.Looks like it's about to fall to the ground and like a junkyard outside not very well kept. I wasn't trying to be judgmental, but that was my first impression. He seemed really nice and everything.So we unloaded the boat and asked him to call in the next day or 2.So we could at least know what the problem is and get it started if it was something he could fix. I'm a charter, captain.So every day out of the water is a thousand to eighteen hundred dollar day. But this happens so not that big of deal. Fast forward sixteen days later, 19 unanswered phone calls, 12, texts and 1 reply day 7 saying today or tomorrow. I literally had to call from an alabama number to get him to answer the phone. That's when he told me there were two boats in front of me and that he would get to me in the next day or two. At this point we lost all faith and took the boat out of his shop. A tiny bit of consideration and communication can go a long way especially when dealing with another businessman. It was a disappointing and costly experience to say the least. I also have all of the screenshots to back everything i'm saying. Too bad, The area could use some quality mechanics that are professionals.
